I booked a 6-hour trip from 8 AM to 2 PM, 10-20 miles out, for my son and me on 6/23/24. Captain Jay was easy to communicate with beforehand and prepared for the day's weather. He texted us the day before to suggest leaving an hour early due to potential weather issues. On the day of the trip, he was punctual and quickly had the boat in the water. The ride out to the reef was smooth, and we were fishing in no time. My son hooked three impressive fish, with the rod nearly bending back to the boat. Although we didn’t land them, it was thrilling to watch. Captain Jay provided excellent guidance and tips throughout the fight. The rod setup was ideal for the fishing conditions, and he even baited and handled the fish for us. When we returned to the dock, Captain Jay filleted and bagged our catch, resulting in a delicious Lane Snapper supper. Jay Fishing Charters provided a memorable and enjoyable experience!

My kids and their friends, ages 16 to 20, enjoyed this trip immensely. They had a blast catching bait and reeling in some impressive sharks during their 4-hour excursion, choosing to focus on shark fishing rather than going further out for different fish. They mentioned that the equipment was in excellent condition and ready to use, and Captain Jay kept them engaged with minimal downtime. I’m excited to head out with Captain Jay myself in the near future.

Two tourists from Australia had a fantastic time with Captain Jay. He was both hilarious and highly involved throughout the trip. They were guaranteed to catch fish, with massive ones on the line the entire time. I couldn’t recommend the experience more highly.
