Jeffrey Millet
3rd Coast Fishin’ Charters offers land-based guided fishing trips along the Texas coast, giving anglers access to some of the most productive shorelines in Galveston, Freeport, Bolivar, and Matagorda, with additional trips available in Port Aransas and Corpus Christi. Led by Jeffrey Millet, a guide with more than 10 years of experience, these trips focus on putting guests in the right place at the right time while keeping the day relaxed, organized, and beginner-friendly.
Jeffrey’s guiding career began after sharing fishing videos online. As viewers saw the consistent results along the surf and beachfront, requests started coming in from people wanting to fish alongside him. That interest quickly grew into a full-time guiding service built around knowledge of tides, structure, and seasonal fish movement along the Texas coastline. His approach combines preparation, patience, and teaching so anglers of any skill level can learn techniques and enjoy the day.
Trips are designed for up to four guests and typically last up to 10 hours, starting at 7:30 AM. The focus is land-based fishing, including surf fishing, bottom fishing, and drone-assisted bait placement when conditions allow. This style allows anglers to target larger species that travel close to shore while still fishing comfortably from the beach. Guests will learn how to cast, manage lines, handle equipment, and understand how coastal conditions affect fishing success.
The Texas coast is known for its wide beaches and strong fisheries, especially during peak season from March through September when water temperatures and migration patterns bring consistent action. Jeffrey’s experience helps determine the best daily location based on weather and surf conditions, maximizing opportunities throughout the trip.
One of his most memorable trips involved hosting a visiting angler from Africa who landed a 9-foot bull shark from the shoreline—an example of what these waters can produce. While every trip is different, Jeffrey emphasizes preparation, clear instruction, and hospitality to make each outing enjoyable whether you are experienced or trying coastal fishing for the first time.
Guests should bring food, drinks, sun protection, and a valid Texas fishing license. 3rd Coast Fishin’ Charters provides the guidance, instruction, and hands-on assistance needed to help you fish confidently along one of the largest coastal fisheries in the country.
