Lake Moultrie Blue Cat Action: Half-Day Trips at Bonneau Beach
One for the books today! I had the pleasure of taking John and their crew out on Lake Moultrie for a half-day trip with 4G Guide Service. We set out in the early morning, hitting the water around sunrise. The weather couldn't have been better - clear conditions throughout the day made for perfect fishing conditions. Lake Moultrie was looking prime for some action as we left the dock at Bonneau Beach in Berkeley County. As the day progressed, we switched things up, doing some trolling to cover more water and even tried our hand at casting. While we didn't land any monsters this time out, the steady action kept us engaged throughout the trip. Today on Santee Cooper Lake, anglers enjoyed a fruitful day of fishing amidst calm waters and clear skies. The catfish bite was particularly strong, with many anglers landing impressive catches using cut bait and live bait near submerged structures. Largemouth bass were also active, responding well to topwater lures and soft plastics along the shoreline.
