Aces Up Fishing Charters will bring you to some of the most pristine waters in South Carolina where you can discover the rich fisheries of the area. Whether you opt to go for nearshore, offshore, reefs, wreck, or offshore fishing Captain Jay Sconyere sure has something in it for you!
With Captain Jay at the Helm, you’re guaranteed to spend a fun-filled and thrilling fishing expedition. He has lived in Murrells Inlet for over 30 years and has been fishing the waters off of the South Carolina coast since he was a child. Being the owner and the operator, he ensures that the guest experience is centered on excellent customer service. With his exceptional angling skills, Captain Sconyere has been featured on Southern Saltwater, Bob Redfern's Outdoor Magazine, and Reeling Up The Coast with Captain Englis Glover.
Your adventure will start as soon as you set foot onboard a 34’ Hydra Sports center console that can fit up to 6 anglers. This powerful vessel is equipped with triple 250 HP Yamaha engines, making it capable to bring you to different fishing spots in no time. For efficient navigation, the boat uses a fishfinder, GPS, radio, and radar. It also has downriggers, outriggers, and a Livewell. For more convenience, you’ll also find a portable toilet, Bluetooth system, and SiriusXM radio, and you’ll also have a first mate onboard that will help you with your needs.
Depending on the season and trip you choose, you may go after any of these tough fighting creatures, Mahi Mahi, Tautog, Wahoo, Black Seabass, Blackfin Tuna, Broomtail Grouper, Redfish, and many more. To lure them in, the Captain will teach you various fishing techniques such as jigging, trolling, bottom fishing, or light and heavy tackle fishing.
Anglers of all skill levels can join the trip. Kids are welcome to join aboard too, so bring your whole family and make this an escapade for everyone to enjoy!
You’ll be provided with quality tackle, live bait, lures, and even a fishing license. The crew will even clean your catch after the trip. As for you, you just have to pack your favorite food and drinks, grab your sun protection and wear weather-appropriate clothing.

We chartered Aces Up for a half day of fishing. Believe me....we got our money's worth! The king mackerel began striking immediately after casting. We continued to catch for 2.5 hrs. catching our limit. What a great time we all had. Thank you so much!

Capt Jay S was the BEST! He made being Trapped & seasick with 3 teenage boys FUN!. LOL He did all of the hard work and let us enjoy the beautiful day. Most of the teenage angst was put on hold for our fishing trip (lol). Our boys has a blast trying to land a HUGE sailfish and landing an awesome King Mackerel! I highly recommend this fishing fleet!

Awesome fishing trip!! We have been looking for a fishing trip for years and Jay was top-notch. We caught our limits on the smaller fish - multiple amberjacks and red snapper. One of the red snappers was a beast - 35 inches and Jay put us on them. These guys are honest and the best of the best out there. Very thankful and will use them again and again!!!
