My name is Ben and I'm an experienced surf fishing guide specializing in catching seasonal species on the beaches of Southern California throughout the year. Targets include surf perch, corbina, spotfin croaker, yellowfin croaker, California halibut, sharks, saltwater bass, rays and shovelnose, mostly on light spinning tackle.

I offer a range of guiding levels in my sessions (which typically last around four hours); from a complete tuition program to get any local or visiting anglers and their families up to speed with targeting local game and edible species from the beach in a focused lesson-type session - to taking more experienced anglers to some interesting and challenging beaches in search of the best surf fishing California has to offer.

Sessions are typically based around a morning start and I operate on beaches from the northern beaches of Los Angeles County to San Diego County beaches. Tactics and targets are seasonal but I am very open to species requests and catering to any desired surf fishing styles, locations, angler numbers and skill levels. All equipment, bait and tackle is provided by me - just turn up and fish.

Sessions can include as much lesson-type content and structure as needed, or it can be all about hunting down hard-fighting fish with light tackle on a classic California beach. I am happy to target specific fish like halibut, spotfin or corbina on this trip.
