Arrowhead River Adventures was founded by Don Kirkendall after discovering an arrowhead near the Rogue River in Southern Oregon. This arrowhead became the symbol of the company, representing the beginning of a journey—both a physical adventure and a reminder of the rich history of the land. For Arrowhead, the arrowhead is not just an artifact but a symbol of discovery, marking the initiation of thrilling outdoor adventures in some of the most beautiful and untamed landscapes.
The mission of Arrowhead River Adventures is to inspire people to explore wild spaces, connect with nature, and reflect on the deep history of the land they’re traveling through. The company operates in traditional Native lands, including those of the Tenino, Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, Numu (Northern Paiute), Cow Creek Umpqua, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, honoring both the rich cultural heritage and the importance of environmental stewardship for future generations.
As a family-owned whitewater rafting and guided fishing outfitter based in Grants Pass, Oregon, Arrowhead offers a range of unforgettable experiences. Whether you seek a relaxing day in the high desert, an exhilarating whitewater rafting adventure, or a scenic autumn journey along the Rogue River, Arrowhead has the perfect trip for you. Kyle and Ashley Drake, the current owners, are passionate about providing the kind of river experiences they would want for their own family—fun, adventure, connection with nature, and lasting memories.
At Arrowhead River Adventures, every trip is an opportunity to connect with nature, relax, and create moments of wonder and joy that will stay with you long after you’ve left the river!
