One for the books today! I took Rob out for a half-day fishing adventure with Atlantic Blue Charters in Sneads Ferry, NC. We set off early on a beautiful summer morning, with clear skies promising great conditions for our offshore excursion. The waters around Sneads Ferry were inviting as we headed out from the dock at 7:00 am. It was just Rob and me on this trip, which allowed for a personalized experience on the water. With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on a mix of trolling, bottom fishing, and live bait fishing techniques. These methods are typically productive in our offshore waters, giving us the best shot at enticing some bites. We worked different areas, adjusting our approach based on the conditions and any signs of fish activity. The clear weather held up throughout the day, making for comfortable fishing conditions as we explored various offshore spots. While we didn't land any keepers on this outing, the day was far from a loss. We didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it. The experience of being out on the Atlantic, trying different techniques, and enjoying the marine environment made for a memorable trip. We wrapped up our four-hour charter with smiles, having enjoyed the perfect weather and the peacefulness of the ocean. For those looking to experience the thrill of offshore fishing in Sneads Ferry, NC, I highly recommend booking a trip with us at Atlantic Blue Charters. Our Half Day Fishing Adventures are perfect for anglers of all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned pro or new to offshore fishing. During these 4-hour nearshore trips, we focus on trolling, bottom fishing, and live bait fishing – the same techniques we used today. The waters off Sneads Ferry offer great opportunities for a variety of fish species, and while every trip is unique, the experience of being out on the water is always rewarding. Whether you're aiming to catch your personal best or just enjoy a day away from the shore, our charters provide the perfect setting. Remember, in fishing, every day is different, and that's what makes it exciting. So if you're planning a visit to the North Carolina coast and want to try your hand at some offshore action, give us a call at Atlantic Blue Charters. We'll do our best to put you on the fish and ensure you have a great time out on the water, regardless of what the ocean decides to offer up that day.

Topsail Island is a haven for anglers looking for a great fishing experience. With the fall season in full swing, bottom fishing for Grouper and Snapper is an excellent way to put some dinner on the table. The cooler temperatures also mean that we start seeing Yellowfin tuna offshore. Grouper and Snapper are two of the most popular fish species that can be found in Topsail Island waters. They are bottom feeders and can be caught using traditional bottom fishing techniques such as drifting or anchoring over structure. For best results, use live bait or cut bait and drop it down to where they are feeding. Yellowfin tuna is one of the sought-after game fish in Topsail Island during this time of year. These hard-fighting fish can be found offshore around deep water structures like oil rigs, wrecks, and reefs.

Everyone had a great time. My adult nephews have never fished off a boat in the ocean and were a bit nervous at first. Captain Drew and his First Mate made sure everyone knew what to expect and walked them through everything! They are already talking about booking again next time they come for a visit.
