Bear Craft Fishing Science LLC is a Lake Ontario fishing charter service based in New York, offering private guided fishing trips from two locations: Mexico, NY and Fair Haven, NY. Captain Forrest Beacraft brings an analytical, strategy-driven approach to every trip, combining deep-water trolling expertise, temperature tracking, and advanced sonar technology to target active schools of trophy fish across Lake Ontario.

Our Lake Ontario fishing charters target some of the lake’s most sought-after sport fish, including King Salmon (Chinook), Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, and Rainbow Trout (Steelhead). Trips run from April through early October and can be tailored for families, groups of friends, beginners, or experienced anglers pursuing trophy salmon and trout.

Bear Craft Fishing Science LLC operates two boats from its two New York locations, giving guests flexible access to Lake Ontario fishing grounds. The Mexico and Fair Haven locations provide convenient options for anglers looking to fish different areas of the lake while maintaining the same professional guided experience.

Each charter is equipped with quality rods, reels, custom lures, and specialized terminal tackle. Captain Forrest uses current water conditions, thermoclines, bait movement, and sonar readings to develop an effective trolling strategy throughout the trip. A skilled first mate assists with maintaining the trolling spread and keeping the boat ready for the next bite.

Charter options include 4-hour half-day trips, 6-hour targeted fishing trips, and 10-hour full-day weekend excursions for groups of up to 6 guests. Whether you are new to Lake Ontario fishing or an experienced angler chasing a personal best, each trip is planned around your fishing goals and current conditions.

At the end of the trip, guests can take advantage of free catch cleaning and filleting, making it easy to bring your harvest home. Book a Lake Ontario fishing charter with Bear Craft Fishing Science LLC and experience guided fishing from Mexico or Fair Haven, New York.
