First-Time Paddlefish Success for the Foote Family
Ross, His sister inlaw Teresa and her sons Lukas, Liam, and Ross son Finley Foote came out the other day to catch thier very first paddlefish and thier biggest fresh water fish. Family Paddlefish Adventure at Hudson Dam
Saturday morning i Met Kelsey his wife Amanda dayghter Bailey and son Mason at Mazie landing Marina. We drove the boat up to Hudson dam to put a beating on the paddlefish in the 30,000 fps current coming out of the dam. What a awesome morning spending it with this awesome family from Colorado to catch Paddlefish. When Amanda was younger she would fish for Walleye with her father and sometimes they would snag the paddlefish but her dad would always cut the line because he didnt want to mess with them. Well that drove her passion for wanting to catch paddlefish. Now this awesone fishing family has been to mulitiple states catching them. We even caught Mason a huge gar. Big Catches and Fishing Conditions at Keystone Lake â December 10, 2024
Scott and Jennifer came down from Alaska and fished with me on (a Oklahoma Sooners special day)... The day was awesome fishing with them. Good laughs and great conversation about life, fishing and hunting in Alaska. Jennifer is from Ketchican,Ak and they now live in Wasilla, Alaska. This was a last minute trip that they had just a little time to Squeeze in to catch their very first paddlefish. It was a grind putting them on the hook but we hot it done and they did great. That special day was because they had tickets to the oklahoma, Alabama game to watch live where the Sooners put the breaks on Alabamas chance to be in the play offs. How cool is that paddlefish in the afternoon and a couple hours later storming the field in Norman. đȘ The next time i see this couple this summer in Alaska they will be Mr&Mrs Mckenna ya! We're fishing everyday! Catching some nice big females and hard fighting males. Caught a female today that had eggs slipping out. I hope they push back several weeks before they Spawn. They Spawn about 55 degrees and water temp is 50 but with all this water running its kinda making me think. Checkout this bent bill on this spoonbill I caught on my new garmen unit. Rainy Day for Spoonbill
Another great day on the water fishing in the rain today. We got a couple of guys out early this morning right after legal fishing time and we caught them lots of fish and were done before the sun even rose. Next trip started at 10:30 and it was awesome. We caught probably 20 Spoonbill and they left taking one to see if they like to eat them. My covered boat made it nice fishing in the rain today and as always my clients really enjoyed it also. Protecting our Waters
Hello all! For all clients that already have deposits in for trips already booked this doesn't apply to you but I hope you do it also. For now on if you book a trip with me and if you are taking a fish home it will be a male or one that I mistake as a male. If we dont catch you a male you wont be able to keep a fish this day. A 35 pound male has as much fillet as a 50 pound female. If you are making caviar with the eggs this will be an exception to this rule and you can keep a female. I/we all are taking to many big fish out of our waters. I honestly think oklahoma has great and best rules to help protect are Paddlefish population but this will be my part. Thank yall!

Spoonbill Fishing!
Kesa, her husband George, son Keson, her dad Jimmy and brother Kevin came out to fish and celebrate kesa and Kevin's dads 82 Birthday. It was a nasty one out on the water. With the strong wind and rainy conditions. This is exactly why I bought this boat for conditions like this. This family came all the way from okc and we were able to get them out and fish comfortably in these conditions. They all did a great job with keson getting most improved angler of the trip. Keson appears to be a gamer but today he was Spoonbill king! Happy birthday Jimmy! Thank yall for fishing with us and we look forward to seeing yall on the lake. We fished with Billy early October. The weather was terrible as we had rain and 30mph winds. Billy took us fishing on his boat with a cover, we stayed dry and caught fish. He is a great guy to fish with and does what it takes to put you on fish!!! We also stayed at his Spoonbill Palace, it far exceeded our expectations. Clean, quite and close to the fishing. We wouldnât change a thing, thanks for the good time, Billy.

Billy's Guide Service was the best fishing guide I have ever been on a trip with. Very professional and experienced they made it a point to make sure that our party had a memorable experience. Who don't love a covered boat? it raind 70% of the time but we stayed dry and still caught fish. I will definitely be going to see Billy and do another fishing trip with them.
