Whether you will be fishing for the first time, or a seasoned professional looking to find NC's next state record, Captain Joey welcomes everyone aboard to enjoy the action!
There are various trip lengths offered, and Joey makes every effort to tailor to the needs of your group. These waters are home to a wide range of fish species options to target, such as Blue, Flathead and Channel Catfish, Walleye, Bass, and other freshwater favorites that make the perfect fresh meal.

"We were lucky to be one of Blue Persuasions first trips and we can’t say enough about it! Before the trip, Joey was in touch several times, giving us lots of choices about what we’d like to fish for (bass), how long we’d fish (4 hours), and where we’d go. His communication was excellent! Joey picked us up at our dock and worked tirelessly to make sure we were comfortable, in a good spot where we were getting bites and having fun. From preparing all of the rods (and constantly baiting our hooks), to providing a heater on the unseasonably cold morning, Joey made good on his promise that we were there to fully enjoy ourselves. Joey is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about fishing and it was clear from the beginning we were in good hands! We caught a bunch of good sized fish (bigger than we’d ever caught for sure!), took lots of pictures, and felt like the best fisherman around. 😉 Joey even set our daughter up with a big catch so she could have bragging rights over her brothers! The four hours went way too fast. We can’t wait to fish with Joey again - next time for a longer period of time. I think we’ll try catfish fishing next time, so we can see the master in action! Joey really is the nicest guy - so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable - and he wants nothing more than than his customers to have a great experience. We had a great time fishing with Joey. He knows his stuff, has great gear and an awesome boat. He will get you on big cats. We pulled in a 50 pounder on Gaston with him. Highly recommend.
