Action-Packed Redfish & Catfish Haul on Calaveras Lake
June 1, 2025: a non-stop day! We found them thick on a drop off area. We kept a couple limits of quality reds while we released another 20 smaller ones. We also found us a pod of tasty channel catfish to add to the box. These two anglers know how to enjoy their time on the water. Many great laughs, with a dose of some competitive trash talk. I enjoyed this trip after an exhausting tournament day. Thank you for booking.

Jesse took us out when our deep-sea trip canceled due to the hurricane, even though he had already guided one group that day. He worked hard to get us on the fish even though it was a slow bite, and we ended up with some nice keeper reds, some really nice channel cats, and a whole bunch of undersized reds that were fun to catch anyway. It was a great afternoon for a super reasonable price! If you’re looking for good fishing action in a wholesome, family-friendly environment, Jesse is your man. 👍🏻

My son and I had an incredible time fishing at the lake with Capt. Jesse. We each reached our limit before 10:00 AM and even had extra time to try for catfish. Although we didn’t catch any catfish this time, the experience was fantastic, and we even wrapped up an hour early. Capt. Jesse’s expertise made the trip smooth and enjoyable, and I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a great fishing adventure.
