Climb aboard with Captain Karty for an unforgettable day exploring the shallow waters of Florida’s legendary national park, Merritt Island NWR, Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River!  

We target redfish, speckled trout, black drum, and even tarpon, just south of New Smyrna Beach, less than an hour from Orlando. 

You may also hook up flounder, jack crevalle, ladyfish, sheepshead, and mangrove snapper.

Everything you need is provided except sunglasses, sunscreen, beverages and snacks.  No fishing license needed.

Fishing Mosquito Lagoon and its backwaters is an active experience that’s different from offshore fishing. Seasickness won’t be a problem.  

My boat is a 19-foot tunnel hull that skims right over the water allowing us to reach the skinny water where the Reds and Trout congregate.  My Day-5 gets us to the perfect spots comfortably, with room for up to 4 anglers.

There’s a lot of nature around: Dolphins, Manatees, over 67 species of Birds, and even Oysters Spitting!
