This was an experience of lifetime for myself & my kids. We were catching fish the entire time on the water…very large fish. Captain Kaleb was very helpful, informative & a great guide. We definitely recommend him & we’ll be back on our next trip to Charleston!

Right from introducing himself Captain Kaleb made all of us feel right at home on his boat. We left on time & made several places our personal fishing spots that were previously picked for success. Slow start to this cool winter & windy day but Captain Kaleb made the best of it. Several factors left our trip slow at the start but as the trip went on we started catching several Red Fish, which is what were being caught this time of year. We stayed out a little extra time because of said slow start & fish were hitting pretty good so we delayed our return until they started slowing. Very professional & knowledgeable about equipment, River & surroundings.

Captain Kaleb was fantastic; he was really informed and professional. He knows all there is to know about the sea and is a lot of fun to chat to. He also has a wonderful taste in music. We will undoubtedly use his services again in the future, and we highly recommend him. In terms of the experience, it was ideal, and we had a terrific time.

To begin, my family and I have gone on well over a dozen guided fishing trips east of the Mississippi. With each journey, we have learnt what the guide can and cannot control. Communication with the customer, being prepared, instructing the client on how to use the equipment, and describing the local waterways are all things the guide can manage. Captain Kaleb had everything down pat. His communication in the run-up to the trip was flawless. He possessed a well-stocked and well-maintained sailboat, as well as top-notch equipment. He understood the local waters of the Low Country and knew exactly where the bait fish would be, so there was no guesswork about our excursion. Even the most concerned individual will be put at ease by his expertise and explanations of what to expect throughout the trip. Things over which the guides have no influence. No matter who your guide is, they have no influence over the weather or the bite of the fish. We planned our trip outside of the regular fishing season (mid-July) and on a day when the weather could easily derail even the best-laid plans. While major thunderstorms did occur during the journey, Captain Kaleb was already prepared. He makes the best decision on where you and your family may safely fish based on his knowledge of recent weather patterns (which only a local would know), NOAA Radar, and other local fisherman. Thankfully, the weather didn't hamper our trip, and he was able to adapt quickly While the guides cannot make the fish bite, they do know various locations where you have the best chance of landing fish. Overall, because to his knowledge and ability to adjust, we caught about 15 fish in a quick three-hour trip. Several were even rather large. We did catch a Ray fish during our tour, and he took the opportunity to inform the kids that it was toxic to the touch. We also had an unexpected encounter with several dolphins, which brightened our day. I've spent money on dolphin cruises and never seen the first one. Not only did we see them today, yet they got closer to the boat and even engaged with us as if it were part of the experience. Our vacation today was everything I had hoped it would be. My children (6 and 9 years old) had a terrific day, as did my wife and I. I've attached some images from our vacation in the hopes that they may help anyone else considering a trip choose the best option for their family. I'm not sure when we'll be back in the Charleston area, but I know we'll employ Captain Kaleb again for any inshore fishing trips.

Capitan Kaleb was punctual, accommodating, and a pleasure to spend time with on a fishing excursion. We had a fantastic day on the water thanks to Capitan Kaleb, who was knowledgeable and diversified his skills to provide a wide range of experiences throughout the morning. The catch of the day featured an inshore slam: a few slot-sized reds, a large trout, and a lovely flounder to cap it all off! I will most certainly book Capitan Kaleb again and would advise others to do the same.

I went with my father and my two boys, ages seven and four. Captain Caleb was fantastic. Very understanding of our inexperience. He was highly professional and easy to communicate with. He assisted the boys as much as he could by teaching them what to do. He knew a lot about the area and where to go. He knew when and where to fish, as well as how to show himself. It was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely arrange another trip with him on our next vacation to the area. This tour is highly recommended.
