Based in Kingston, NY, Captain Stu Charters offers an exceptional fishing experience on the picturesque Hudson River and the nearby coastal Atlantic Ocean. With morning and afternoon charters available, Captain Stu provides 4-hour trips on the scenic Hudson River and longer, 12-hour excursions to the near coastal Atlantic Ocean aboard his 23-foot boat. These trips are typically designed for small groups, accommodating up to 4 people comfortably, although the boat can carry up to 6 guests if needed.

Captain Stu, a highly skilled and seasoned Coast Guard licensed captain, brings an impressive array of qualifications to every fishing expedition. With a 50-ton Masters Credential, two decades of navigation patrol experience, and 45 years of fishing expertise, Captain Stu ensures a professional and enjoyable outing. On the Hudson River, anglers can expect to target a diverse range of species, including striped bass, black drum, freshwater drum, four types of catfish, white perch, yellow perch, and carp. The river's abundant waters provide ample opportunities for exciting catches.

When venturing into the Atlantic Ocean, the fishing opportunities expand to include bluefish, striped bass, weakfish, blackfish, gunnard, fluke, flounder, porgy, Spanish mackerel, cobia, and tuna. Depending on the season and conditions, you might also encounter sharks, dogfish, tropical species, and other marine life. Captain Stu's extensive knowledge and experience mean you’re in expert hands whether you’re fishing the river or the ocean.

Captain Stu Charters is well-equipped to make your fishing trip enjoyable and productive. The 23-foot Chaparral sportfishing boat is outfitted with downriggers and all necessary equipment for a successful day on the water. The vessel comfortably accommodates up to four passengers and includes a convenient onboard toilet. Captain Stu will provide rods, reels, and lures for your fishing needs. Live bait is also available, in season. 

Before boarding, each member of your group will need to purchase a local fishing license. As you prepare for your adventure, don’t forget essential items such as sunscreen (preferably non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. While alcohol is permitted, it should be consumed in moderation, and hard liquor and glass bottles are not allowed for safety reasons.
