Savannah Redfish Bonanza: Inshore Action with Capt. Zach's Charters

Hot bite and happy crew! Summer fishing in Savannah, GA was in full swing as I took Michael out for an afternoon of inshore action with Captain Zach's Fishing Charter. We launched from 2812 River Dr under partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of storms looming. The conditions were prime for some excellent redfish action as we set out on our Private Inshore Fishing Trip. With our gear rigged and ready, we hit some of my favorite inshore spots around Savannah. I had Michael try a mix of techniques to maximize our chances. We started with some live bait fishing, which is often productive in these waters. As we worked different areas, we switched it up with some bottom fishing and casting artificial lures. The variety kept things interesting, and it paid off. We managed to hook into some nice redfish, which put up a great fight and gave Michael a real taste of what Savannah inshore fishing is all about. The partly cloudy weather actually worked in our favor, providing just enough cover to keep the fish active without completely shutting down the bite. Throughout the trip, I shared some local knowledge about the area and the habits of redfish in these parts. It's always rewarding to see anglers connect with these hard-fighting fish. As the afternoon wore on, we kept at it, adjusting our approach based on what the fish were telling us. We wrapped up the trip with some solid catches and big smiles, making the most of our time on the water despite the threat of storms that thankfully held off. If you're thinking about experiencing some of the best inshore fishing Savannah has to offer, I'd love to take you out on one of our Inshore Fishing Charters. Summer is a great time to hit the water, but the fishing is solid year-round here in Savannah. June is a prime time for inshore action in these parts, with the warmer waters bringing the summer gamefish like Summer Flounder, Sheepshead, and Southern Flounder closer to the shore. We met up at the usual spot in Savannah, GA and headed out around 4:00 PM under partly cloudy skies. As soon as we got the lines in the water, the rods started bending. We landed some nice Summer Flounder and Southern Flounder, and even had a few Black Drum come unbuttoned after some intense runs. It was a beautiful day on the water as Nicole and their crew joined me for a Private Inshore Fishing Trip in Savannah, GA. The weather was partly cloudy throughout the day, with a chance of storms, but that didn't dampen our spirits. Hot Bite on the Georgia Coast – Inshore Action Heats Up

The past couple of weeks have brought steady action and solid catches in the waters around Savannah, GA. Inshore fishing has been especially productive, with healthy numbers of sheepshead, black drum, and redfish keeping rods bent. Fiddler crabs have been the top bait choice for targeting structure-holding species like sheepshead around docks, rock piles, and nearshore reefs. Anglers are also finding black sea bass in good numbers on bottom structure just offshore. The tides have lined up nicely, and water clarity has been favorable for sight fishing on calmer days. With warming temps, bite windows are getting longer—and the fish are hungry. Whether you're a local or visiting the Georgia coast, now’s a great time to hit the water.

Savannah Fishing

Today's Savannah fishing charter was a bit chilly at the beginning, but the inshore fishing experience on the big pond was fantastic! I even managed to reel in a nearly 8-pound catch.

Savannah Fishing

Went on a fishing adventure in Savannah with this guy! The Sheepshead bite is expected to improve as the weather gets colder. We released numerous catches and hooked many more for future excursions. A fantastic outcome from our inshore trip!

Captain Zach was AMAZING!! So professional, kind, personable, and fun! He asked us the night before if we minded delaying our parting time due to tide issues and high winds. He felt that a delay would ensure would a better chance of us catching fish. We agreed to delay and I’m so happy we did! He went above and beyond for us and we appreciated everything he did. I highly recommend him! 10/10 stars! Thank you again Captain Zach!
