Catching the Cure

Fish with Captain Jon Fetter to take advantage of Southwest Florida's fantastic fishing. In Fort Myers Beach especially, the fishing is hot most of the year. Redfish and snook thrive in the spring and summer months, while the tripletail and cobia head up the winter months. As the water temperatures increase, anglers are provided with the opportunity to tangle with the legendary "Silver King" otherwise known as the Tarpon.

Fishing aboard a 22 foor Blue Wave Purebay center console, Captain Jon has all the equipment and knowledge you need to have a rewarding fishing experience in some of the most beautiful waters in the world. The vessel is outfitted with a fish finder and GPS system, with enough room to accommodate 4 passengers, and its 175 HP Suzuki engine will get you to the fish fast and comfortably. The boat also has a livewell, an ice box, and stores safety equipment.

Captain Jon is catches most of his fish on the fly or with live bait. All bait, tackle, and rods are included in the price, as is your fishing license. Fly fishing rods are included too, but you're more than welcome to bring your own equipment.

About the same time Jon was thinking about a name for his backcountry fishing business, his mother was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare type of bone cancer. From that point on, he knew he'd name his boat and business "CATCHING THE CURE." In addition to providing you with a great day on the water, a percentage of each trip goes to the Multiple Myeloma Cancer Research Fund.
