Guide Kevin 'Catterman' spent years chasing down the elusive apex predators that visit our eastern shore board every summer and realized that this type of fishing has a whole new learning curve to it. While exciting and thrilling, it also takes a special type of guide to not only show you how to catch them but also how to care for them during the release process.
These fishing trips usually start in the evenings after 6PM EST and run anywhere till midnight or even 7AM. When you book with us we put out several different rods and baits to ensure that our night is filled with fish catching fun. All sharks, stingrays, and other fish caught during the charter will be primarily handled by the Guide himself and his first mates. Some of the species you will encounter include Sandbar (Brown), Sand tigers, Dusky, Spinner, & Blacktip sharks, as well as Smoothhound dogfish (Some species are federally protected and must be caught & released as quickly as possible). We also have the chance of hooking into Bull & Atlantic sharpnose sharks, as well as skates and all kinds of stingrays.
All fishing gear & bait will be provided, we just recommend wearing long sleeve shirts, beach pants, and beach shoes on your trip (and don't forget the bug repellent). Amenities include ice cold water, a Mosquito-proof Enclosure, comfortable beach chairs, and High-Quality images. Video add-ons available (ask me!)
All active anglers (16+ and older) will be required to have a Tidal Fishing License ($10-20 - Delaware trips) or a Saltwater registry (Free - New Jersey)

Back for YEAR 3!
We had the pleasure of having Ken and Jenn back for YEAR 3 on the sand! There's probably nothing better than having clients back. Not only did we slam into TONS of fish all night, but Ken got to catch the biggest Sandbar shark of his life with us, and the biggest fish he's ever caught. We even hooked into some other species. All around, a blast and both left happy, content, and with sore arms and backs. Thanks for coming back!

The First Trip of the season is behind us
First-mate Schwalm and I set out with our first bait drops of the season. Our evening was reward with SEVERAL large-and-in-charge summertime visitors! The fish are here, and the calendar is losing more and more green spots. Inshore species were plentiful too, so no matter whether you're a seasoned angler, or a family looking to experience fun and excitement... we are READY for you!

The FISH are HERE!
The water is full of creatures, inshore and deployed rods are getting slammed. We haven't had a single night without a fish and let me tell you, things are only getting started. We have already brought on shore several blacktips, and who knows what other kind of tropicals are awaiting you. The rods are re-strung, rigs are tied, and baits are fresh on ice. Let's catch some fish and go fishing!

An AWESOME outing with an AWESOME family!
Hello friends and fans, let me tell you about this evening. We had Matt and his clan out not far from their AirBnB for our first trip of the season. Not only was the night filled with fun, excitement, peeling reels, and smiling faces... we made the night for these guys like none other. Stories were told, clothes got wet, and fish were quickly caught and released. We finished the night with not only a Blacktip, but also several other species of large sharks. Surprise surprise, little 12-year old Eli even caught one of the largest fish of the night... This is why we do this. These memories will last a LIFETIME! New Jersey Fishing Report
Wow, what a day out on the water! I took Harlee and Molly out on one of our 8-hour shark fishing trips last summer, and they really put their sister power to use. These girls are skilled anglers and they did a heck of a job wrangling in some beautiful sharks. We caught a variety of species. It was a real fighter, but Molly managed to bring it in and release it safely. I was impressed by the teamwork and determination of these sisters, and it was a pleasure to see their excitement and joy throughout the trip. We had a great day out on the water, and I can't wait to see what other adventures await us on future trips.

A night full of fishing battles!
The cold-front is subsiding, and hereby the fishing is starting to peak again. We deployed several different baits, and around 11:30PM in the evening... one of our spinning outfits doubled on over. Before we knew it, we were onto something very large and charge! After a almost 30-minute tussle with the fish, Roland, Jim, and JR won their fight with a VERY large roughtail stingray. An amazing catch, which was shortly followed by a 3.5-4ft shark that JR made short work of on the conventional setup. Awesome group of guys, awesome trip!

Another amazing trip in the books with Megan & Phil!
Our team was faced with 20-30mph guests, but that didn't stop us! Megan & Phil were understanding of the circumstances, and yet we still succeeded. The moment baits were dropped we encountered several sharks, ranging in all sizes. To top it off, Megan hooked a large and in charge shark at the end of the evening which had been wrapped around in netting. We quickly removed the netting and helped her swim off strong making sure the entire time she was submerged in water. Awesome trip at the beginning of the season!

Delaware Bay Fishing Report
Man, to say that we made the Bush family's night out is an understatement. Slammed a ton of fish, smiled and laughed, and hammered an absolutely GIGANTIC Delaware roughtail stingray. The tail must've measured almost 8 feet!

There are not enough stars to rate our trip. I booked a trip for my fiancée 40th birthday. We started fishing at 5:30 and were done at 2 we were catching sharks the whole time. Kevin and Jayden made us feel like we were family. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the sharks and he did everything so we were safe and the sharks we caught we not harmed. We will be booking another trip this year and it will be a yearly vacation for us from now on. Best fishing I have had when it comes to charters or guides. I highly recommended booking Cattermanadventures.

What an amazing experience! Kevin was extremely knowledgeable- he knows exactly how to attract, catch, and release the sharks in a humane manner, and is a wealth of knowledge regarding fishing and marine life in general. We caught many sharks, but the experience was most rewarding when we caught a shark that was tangled in lines- Kevin was able to free the shark of the litter it accumulated and sent it on its way. When we weren’t catching sharks, we were able to relax in the tent that Kevin brought. After our trip, he sent over GoPro footage of the experience. I highly recommend Catterman Adventures- whether you are a beginner or experienced fisher, Kevin will make sure that you have a trip to remember.

My family and I caught 7 sharks!!! Kevin is amazing!! My family and I felt like we known him for years he is super easy to get along with!!! Kevin took such great care of us and the sharks!! The amount of knowledge that my family walked away with was crazy and it definitely is something that my family and I will talk about forever more and never forget! So if you are looking for a sign to book a day to go shark fishing this is it!!!!

This was probably the best experience of my life. No joke. Caught 3 Sharks with the first one literally 10 minutes after arriving. Kevin is a wealth of knowledge and knows how to handle these beasties with care. Just make sure to wear long pants because if you go overnight and it is warm and humid at night; the sand gnats are absolutely relentless. Other than that it is a once in a lifetime experience. Kevin is very professional and quite humorous too. Hope to do this again someday
