Captain Michael Rathgeber operates fishing charters out of Provincetown, Massachusetts, with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and providing a smooth experience for every group onboard. He works as part of a long-established local operation owned by Vaughn Cabral, a third-generation fishing guide whose family has been involved in the Provincetown fishing industry for nearly 50 years. Trips depart from MacMillan Pier at first light, typically around 5 a.m., aboard a sturdy 48-foot fiberglass Marine Management boat built for comfort and stability. With room for up to 40 passengers, the vessel is well suited for private group charters, family outings, celebrations, and corporate trips. Powered by a Cummins diesel engine and cruising at 14 knots, the boat reaches fertile offshore fishing areas quickly. Many productive spots are located roughly 25 miles from shore and can be accessed in as little as 15 minutes, maximizing time spent fishing.

Captain Michael uses proven techniques such as casting, bait drifting, and jigging to target striped bass, bluefish, bonito, mackerel, and fluke throughout the season, which runs from May 15 through October 7. Trips range from three-hour sunrise and sunset outings to four-hour peak-time trips and full eight-hour offshore days. All trips are private and flexible, allowing groups to tailor the experience to their needs.
