The trip lived up to my expectations. The captain was both knowledgeable and courteous. We were looking for good eating fish. We found a spot with mango snapper and filled the boat. This is a smaller boat with no bathroom, but it made no difference to my experience. I highly recommend it.

Captain P is fantastic with children. We would have hunted monsters if I had gone alone, but I had three boys with me, and my requests were to learn how to catch bait and get fish in the boat. He did exactly that. If red snapper had been in season, we would have kept some big boys.

Phillip was fantastic. Superb knowledge and no wasted time. We easily caught 30 fish, with at least 20 of them being keepers. There are a lot of mingo snapper and squirrel fish. There are probably ten different species. My son also caught a 200-pound blacktip shark! It was too big for the boat, but it eventually snapped the line. But not before we got some good footage of it on the surface. Phillip Houston will undoubtedly be booked again on our next trip to Destin.
