Absolutely, this is an excellent trip for experienced anglers. I've been on around 20 charters, both freshwater and saltwater, and I fish quite frequently. I prefer to actively fish rather than just waiting for someone to hand me a rod when a fish bites, and this trip allowed me to do just that. If you have a few experienced fishing buddies and want an affordable option, this is the perfect choice. The pricing is reasonable, and you’ll have the chance to really fish. I recommend bringing a light to medium-action rod with 12 to 15-pound test fluorocarbon or monofilament line. You’ll be casting live shrimp into tight spots near the mangroves to catch mangrove snappers, so it's important to know your gear as the casting can be quite delicate. The equipment on the boat was excellent, but if you fish often, you’ll understand what I mean. When we started targeting reds, sea trout, snook, and cobia in the flats and grass, the gear held up very well. If you have favorite lures, pack them in a cooler and bring them along instead of a tackle box. We limited out on keeper mangrove snappers and sea trout, and we also caught some short snook and lane snappers. I even hooked into a cobia that unfortunately got away at the boat. The captain was new to the area, and we stayed out longer than scheduled, which was great. We had a fantastic time with a fun captain, and we were lucky enough to see manatees, dolphins, and stingrays. The captain did an excellent job filleting our catch.

Mike was fantastic! We had initially planned for an offshore trip, but there was a small craft advisory in the morning. Mike had everything under control. He took us to some backwater spots where we got to see a bald eagle and even caught a couple of young sharks. Once the wind calmed down, we headed offshore and started reeling in fish. While none of them were particularly large—except for one that got away due to an inexperienced angler—we still caught a lot. The 26' Seafox handled the waves beautifully, and the GPS trolling motor made it easy to move quickly from reef to reef.

Captain Mike and Blake were fantastic! They were down-to-earth and flexible, making the trip truly enjoyable. The boat was larger and more comfortable than most half-day or full-day charters I've experienced. Everyone caught fish, with the highlights being a Goliath Grouper (which we couldn't keep, but it was a blast) and a massive spotted trout. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Captain Mike for our next fishing adventure!

This charter was perfect for our family! Captain Mike and his first mate, Blake, were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, making the experience both fun and entertaining. We caught plenty of fish, which we were able to take to a local restaurant to enjoy. Highlights included a grouper (which we could keep), triggerfish, snapper, and more! We even spotted some sea turtles during our trip! It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it!

Our first outing with Charters N Paradise on September 5th, 2024 was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for a better day of fishing with Captain Mike, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. He is incredibly knowledgeable and knows all the best spots for a successful fishing trip. Captain Mike was attentive to our needs, and his outgoing personality made the day even more enjoyable. We ended up catching 25 fish of various species! It truly was an exceptional day, and I highly recommend this charter. — Sergio (Ottawa, Canada)

As first-time boat fishermen, we were thrilled to catch our first fish in less than two seconds! My family and I were truly impressed by the experience. The captain was fantastic, the boat was great, and the entire day was just perfect. We even had the bonus of seeing a few dolphins swimming nearby. We can't wait to do it again, and next time, we plan to venture even further out!
