Inshore shark fishing around Savannah, Georgia is delivering non-stop action, especially during the warmer parts of the day. Blacktip, bonnethead, and Atlantic sharpnose sharks are feeding aggressively in the tidal creeks, river mouths, and nearshore edges of the flats. These predators are following bait schools—mainly mullet and menhaden—into shallow water, making them easy targets for anglers ready for a fight. Bonnetheads have been especially thick around sandy bottoms and seagrass beds, showing a strong preference for live shrimp and blue crab chunks. For larger blacktips, fresh-cut bait like ladyfish or mullet soaked on the bottom has been the top producer. Tides play a big role—look for the outgoing tide to fire things up as bait is flushed from the marsh. With warm water temps and plenty of bait moving through, shark fishing in Savannah's inshore waters is at its peak. Whether you’re looking for a fast-paced trip with the kids or testing your gear against bigger bulls and blacktips, now’s the time to get in on the action.

Blacktip Sharks and Bonnethead Sharks have been putting up exhilarating fights, giving anglers that rush of adrenaline they crave. These cunning creatures have been testing anglers' skills to the max. It's a true pleasure to watch someone's face light up as they feel that telltale tug on the line, knowing they're about to battle it out with these spirited fighters. Tight lines, and see you on the water!
Tarpons are leaving the river this month, so you'll have to hurry if you want to catch one. Brown trout (a species of large freshwater fish) can be found in abundance in the Savannah River. Bass, Flounder, and catfish are among other popular targets for anglers here as well.

The captain, guide, and host, Captain Russell, was fantastic. Since my son and I were unfamiliar with the area, he showed us the best fishing spots, provided us with local history, and pointed out various landmarks. Did I mention that we had a good haul of fish? Awesome day!

My son and I had a wonderful day since Captain David had the ship ready to go. Will undoubtedly re-board the boat with Captain David, and perhaps I'll be able to reel in the Snook I missed when the hook straightened out—not his fault!
