Captain Trevor Torppa brings a wealth of experience to the stunning coastlines of Washington, where he has honed his fishing skills for over a decade. This beautiful region is renowned for its rich aquatic life, including Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Chinook Salmon, and Coho Salmon. Anglers of all skill levels will have the opportunity to catch these prized fish using various techniques, such as trolling and drifting. The best way to truly learn the art of fishing is to join Captain Trevor on the water.
As the CEO of Chrome City Guide Service, Trevor is deeply passionate about fishing, a love that has developed over many years. Having grown up in Washington and spending time at a family cabin in Kenai, Alaska, he has cultivated a level of professionalism that makes him an exceptional guide. Trevor thrives on sharing the fishing experience with his guests, not just for the thrill of catching fish, but also to create memorable days on the water, forming friendships that often last a lifetime.
Trevor’s journey has been shaped by a diverse background, including four years of college baseball after high school. This experience has instilled in him a mindset of excellence, which he carries into his role as a fisherman. During those college years, he dedicated countless hours to training, both on the field and in the gym, while also prioritizing his studies. This discipline and commitment have translated into his guiding philosophy, ensuring that each trip is not just about fishing but about building a strong bond with his guests.
Fishing in Southwest Washington offers a variety of seasons and techniques to effectively target Steelhead and Salmon. Captain Trevor utilizes methods such as bobber fishing, back trolling, casting spinners, twitching jigs, and centerpin fishing, as well as fly fishing. He guides fishing trips on several rivers, including the Kalama, Lewis, Cowlitz, Elochoman, and Naselle, among others.
During the summer months from May to October, Captain Trevor shifts his focus to guiding in Alaska, but he is dedicated to providing exceptional fishing experiences in Washington throughout the year. From October to December, experience the thrill of Coho Salmon fishing, followed by Winter Steelhead from January to March, and Spring Chinook from April to May. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for fishing, Captain Trevor invites you to explore the best of Washington's fishing landscape with Chrome City Guide Service!
