As a proud Métis guide, Kyle combines expert angling with a deep respect for the land, the fish, and the traditions that shaped his passion for the outdoors.
Cold Water Guiding runs private charters from the Island 22 Boat Launch in Chilliwack, BC. Whether you’re looking to battle a prehistoric White Sturgeon or experience the fast-paced action of fall Salmon fishing, each trip is customized to your interests and experience level. The 19-foot ThunderJet Sport Jet, powered by a 200 HP motor, comfortably accommodates up to four guests. It’s the perfect size for navigating shallow channels while providing a stable, safe ride for anglers of all ages.
If you’ve ever dreamed of catching one of the largest freshwater fish in the world, a Sturgeon trip on the Fraser River is an experience you’ll never forget. These incredible fish can reach over nine feet long and offer a powerful fight. Sturgeon trips are offered year-round, while Salmon charters peak from September through November when Chinook and Coho flood the river. Both trips begin around 7 a.m. and include all necessary gear and tackle. Kyle uses a mix of gear fishing, casting spoons, jigging, and float fishing based on the season and conditions.
Guests are required to have a valid British Columbia freshwater fishing license before departure. You can purchase one easily online through the BC Recreational Fishing License Portal.
Cold Water Guiding also offers 2–4 hour Nature Tours from October through November—ideal for families, wildlife lovers, and anyone who wants to experience the calm beauty of the Fraser Valley. For adventurous guests, the full-day Canyon Fishing
Adventure to the Chehalis River offers a rugged, hike-in experience that rewards you with incredible views and untouched fishing spots.
