Jordan Coleman
Step into the heart of Oregon’s rivers with Coleman’s Guide Service, where every trip is built around excitement, skill, and the timeless pursuit of salmon and steelhead. Based out of Tillamook and Nehalem, we guide anglers through some of the Pacific Northwest’s most productive waters, including the famed Clackamas River and Nehalem Bay. Whether you’re chasing hard-fighting winter steelhead or the powerful runs of salmon, this is your chance to experience Oregon fishing at its finest.
Your adventure begins early in the morning, around 5:00 or 6:00 AM, when the rivers come alive. With trips running 8 to 10 hours, there’s plenty of time to work different drifts, explore prime runs, and put fish in the net. Using time-tested methods like backtrolling, side drifting, and bottom drifting, your guide positions you right where the fish hold.
Fishing here is about more than just the catch—it’s about the setting. The Clackamas River winds through lush forested valleys, offering a classic Oregon backdrop, while Nehalem Bay and its connecting river provide a mix of salt and freshwater opportunities. On any given day, you could hook into bright Chinook or Coho salmon, or target the acrobatic and hard-pulling steelhead that make these rivers legendary.
Your vessel for the day is an 18-foot Clackamas drift boat, built for stability and comfort. This man-powered craft glides silently through the water, letting you focus on fishing and the beauty of the river. With a maximum of three guests per trip, you’ll enjoy plenty of space and personalized attention.
Trips are priced at $275 per person, and all necessary fishing gear is included. All you need to bring is an Oregon fishing license, tag, and permit, along with your food, drinks, and layered clothing for the day.
Whether you’re a seasoned salmon angler looking to test your skills or a first-timer wanting to reel in your first steelhead, you’ll leave with memories as strong as the fish you fought. Between the stunning landscapes, expert guidance, and the excitement of Oregon’s salmon and steelhead fisheries, this is a trip that delivers every time.
Book your seat today with Coleman’s Guide Service and discover why anglers keep coming back to Tillamook and Nehalem for world-class river fishing. The fish are here, the rivers are calling, and your spot on the drift boat is waiting.
