What can I say about Alex... He is an amazing fishing guide. For a beginner to this world, he was very patient and kind towards my lack of ability to get the fly where I needed it to be. Alex showed great knowledge about where the greatest spots to catch fish where and why. He was even able to guide me into catching my first fish on a fly! And he did it with great enthusiasm. I really enjoyed my time on the river with him and can’t wait to book another trip. He is a master of his craft.

You won’t find a better captain than Alex. He knows so much about the places he fishes that a catch is almost a guarantee! He makes you feel comfortable whether you are a novice or a pro. We had an amazing afternoon finding stripers and celebrating our anniversary, and the ride home was a treat! Alex will not disappoint!

Alex is the best fishing guide you could wish for - from his knowledge of the local area to communicating what best to wear (especially coming from Florida). I had decided only a few days before our trip to Maine to book a fishing charter to catch some striped bass! Alex was very accommodating, had all the necessary equipment, and even squeezed in time to teach me some basic fly fishing techniques. I was also able to learn a few techniques using artificial lures and where to target areas where fish may be. Alex was very patient and with some persistence, we caught a Striper! (we almost landed one twice the size 5 minutes before the one in the photo) I highly recommend Alex to anyone, whether a complete novice or a seasoned angler.

Spent two wonderful days fishing with Alex on muscongus bay. My grandson and son both caught several fish and they had a great time. As a skipper, Alex is knowledgeable, competent and a great teacher. His boat is fully equipped for fishing.

I cannot emphasize enough how amazing Alex is as a guide!!! If someone with as little experience fishing as I have can catch a fish under his guidance, he is obviously a legitimate pro. I have observed Alex fishing many times, and he is clearly so experienced and talented. He has an amazing eye and has spent so much of his life on various rivers that he really understands where to look for fish and how to catch them. He was kind enough to take a novice like me out fishing, but I can tell he is the perfect guide for people of all skill levels, even experts. He is incredibly patient, is excellent at reading his clients and determining what level of guidance/instruction they need, and he clearly knows how to maximize people's chances of catching fish. More important than all of that, if you are going to be out on the water sharing the company of another person, no one should miss the chance to spend that time with this guy. Alex is a gem of a human being, who I guarantee will keep you smiling and laughing constantly, all while expertly guiding you down the river and finding you some great fish!

I spent nearly a week fishing off and on with Alex in Patagonia on the Futaleufu River. He gives you everything you want in a fishing experience, and he's a very skilled whitewater guide as well! He's incredibly knowledgeable and provides a local's perspective on the river, fish behavior, and specific spots. He can adjust between a beginner and an advanced fisherman very easily, and he has an amazing energy that infects the day with fun and laughter! Best of all - he catches you fish! I plan to hook up with Alex again soon, and I highly recommend using him for your next fishing adventure.
