Your journey will start on a 35’ Duffy boat. Your safety is Captain Mike Parks’s first priority and he’s got all the required safety equipment ready on the boat. The boat is powered by a 436 HP Caterpillar engine, more than enough to carry you around at a comfortable pace. The “Wendy Kay” is a spacious vessel with plenty of room for groups of up to six guests and is ideal for any kind of adventure.
Spend the day pulling a shrimp net or crabbing pots to see what you catch. You can help to pull the pots, shake out the catch, bait the pots, and reset it, you can truly experience being part of the team. Croatan Charters welcomes anglers of all levels and expertise.
Bring the kids for an educational experience, it’s a lot of fun for them to pick through the net and learn what’s in the local waters. The by-catch is always amusing for children and adults to check out, you never know what you’ll get on board!

My sister and our families really enjoyed our shrimp and crabbing trip with Captain Mike. He was a very knowledgeable captain and we felt safe the entire trip. The kids were so excited to be able to help and learn about commercial fishing. We look forward to taking the rest of the family on our next trip with Captain Mike.

WOW! TALK ABOUT EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS! You never know how things are gonna go with fishing, that's why they call it "fishing" not "catching" however...... CATCHING is ALL we did with these boys! We had an AMAZING and beautiful day out on the water with the kids, they loved learning about the process and so did the adults! At the end of the excursion we walked off the boat with a whopping 40 pounds of shrimp and FULL bushel of crab! IT WAS EPIC, The quality of the shrimp and crab was absolutely beautiful to see! We EASILY got back in seafood what we paid for this trip!!! So if you go out and do the same be sure to remember and tip WELL because these boys deserve it! WE WILL BE BACK!
