It was a beautiful June afternoon when Troy and their crew joined us for a Private 4-5 Hour Afternoon Fishing Trip In St. Croix River with Croix Boys Guided Adventures. Thrilling Walleye Pursuit on the Scenic St. Croix River
We had a great morning out on the water with Daniel and their crew for our Private Morning 4-Hour River Fishing Trip on the St. Croix River. June is a wonderful time to be out on the river, as the Walleye are actively feeding and the weather is pleasant and comfortable. We launched the boat at 8:00 AM from 9134 MN-95 and wasted no time getting our lines in the water. The water conditions were excellent, with just the right mix of depth and current to target the Walleye. We employed a variety of techniques, including DeepSea fishing, Jigging, and Trolling, to cover different areas of the river and find where the fish were holding. The action was steady throughout the trip, and we managed to land a nice mix of Walleye. The fish put up a great fight, testing our skills and keeping the excitement high. In between catches, we took in the beautiful St. Croix River scenery and enjoyed the camaraderie of the group. It was just an all-around fantastic morning on the water. Banner Day on the Croix
As the old saying goes…Wind 💨 out of the EAST, they bite the least. Well NOT today! We went through 12 DOZEN crawlers today, with easily over 💯 fish caught. Many doubles and triples! These guys kept me busy and on my toes all day. ‘Twas a “Banner Day” on the Croix and we had the whole river to ourselves. You really couldn’t have asked for a better day of fishing despite the crazy wind and cold temps.

My parents and I had an amazing time on the St. Croix with Ryan! My mom, who isn’t an avid angler, managed to catch two Walleye on one reel—what a moment! The pontoon boat was incredibly comfortable, with plenty of shade when we needed it. Ryan’s knowledge of the best fishing spots was impressive, and he provided a great selection of rods and reels for us to try. He even made sure we had fresh fish fillets to take home. I took my son and his friend out for his 9th birthday, and we had an amazing time! Captain Ryan was patient, helpful, and made the experience enjoyable for everyone. Ryan gave us an absolutely incredible experience! His clean and spacious pontoon was perfect for our group, complete with fantastic fishing rods for both adults and kids. He even provided drinks and took care of all the air for our gear! Ryan’s enthusiasm made the trip unforgettable as we enjoyed a wonderful fishing adventure on the St. Croix. Our 8-year-old was thrilled to catch a 14” Walleye! Ryan happily baited our lines countless times and was always ready to assist. We’re already planning another trip with him later this summer and can’t recommend his services highly enough—5 stars and more!
