Nymphs weren’t working, there was some top water action but the biggest 2 of the day came on a streamer!
I've never seen so many stripers on the river before—schools numbering in the hundreds! During this trip, the client achieved multiple personal bests, including catching their first striper and their biggest fish ever. They also landed several trout on the fly. One impressive striper was followed by six others battling for the lure, all using a 6# test line and a 6-foot rod!
At Cumberland River Fishing Retreat, we've had some great catches of Brown Trout lately. The water has been clear, and the weather has been perfect for fishing. I've been using a mix of dry and wet flies, and we've had a lot of success with both. The fish have been biting consistently throughout the day, and we've had some really nice sized catches. It's been a fantastic week of fishing, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds. If you're looking for a great fishing experience on the Cumberland River, come on down to Cumberland River Fishing Retreat and book a trip with me!
