David Morris
David Morris Fishing Guide provides focused fishing and hunting trips across East Texas and the Texas Panhandle, built around hard work, preparation, and consistent results. With over 11 years of experience, David has developed a strong reputation for putting guests in the right place at the right time—whether targeting trophy largemouth bass on Lake Fork or heading into the field for seasonal waterfowl hunts.
Fishing trips take place primarily on Lake Fork, a top destination for trophy bass in Texas, with additional opportunities on nearby lakes like Lake Ivy and J.B. Thomas when conditions allow. You’ll fish from a 2025 Nitro 21XL dual console bass boat equipped for performance and comfort, giving you access to productive areas across the lake. Trips are customized based on your skill level and the season, using proven techniques such as jigs, crankbaits, chatterbaits, Carolina rigs, drop shots, and big swimbaits to match current conditions.
Guests can choose between full-day and half-day trips, with start times adjusted to match the best fishing windows. Peak season runs from March through June, but solid opportunities are available beyond that timeframe. With a maximum of three guests per trip, each outing stays personal, organized, and focused on getting results.
In addition to fishing, David offers guided hunting experiences on private land in the Texas Panhandle. Waterfowl hunts, including Sandhill Crane, run seasonally from October through January and provide a unique opportunity for hunters looking for something different. These hunts are planned based on scouting and changing conditions, with meeting locations provided in advance. Guests are expected to bring their own firearms, ammunition, and proper licensing.
What separates David is his work ethic. He prioritizes effort, preparation, and time on the water or in the field to give guests the best possible chance at success. Rather than focusing on marketing, his approach is centered on delivering consistent experiences through dedication and local knowledge.
Whether you're planning a Lake Fork bass fishing trip or a Texas waterfowl hunt, David Morris Fishing Guide offers a straightforward, well-managed experience built around putting in the work and making the most of your time outdoors.
