I did a ten hour trip with Destin Coast Charters. Darryll and John were top notch going over everything with us. The fish were definitely there, the bite wasn’t the greatest, and the sharks didn’t make anything much easier. We managed a few red snapper, mangrove, jacks, one beautiful king, plenty of bonita, and a few others. We lost a beautiful cobia which a shark was chasing while we had it on the line. At the beginning of the trip I lost so many just because I wasn’t used to that style of fishing. Before booking the trip, it was excellent communication before arriving. Both John and Darryll were very personal. I will definitely be going back with them in the near future.

Rough water made a tough trip but the Captain and deckhand never stopped fishing hard. we had a good trip despite the conditions. More affordable than the boats at the Harborwalk marina for the same experience. Charter picked up at Adventure Marina on Okaloosa Island which worked out best since we were staying on the island and didnt have to fight the traffic from Destin. Will book a trip again next time Im down.
