Captain Glenn of Double Mermaid Outdoors has spent a lifetime hunting and fishing with family, developing a deep passion for the sport that remains to this day. Now, he takes pride in sharing his expertise, helping others experience the thrill of fishing in South Padre Island. Guests aboard will have the chance to target a variety of local species, including Flounder, Black Drum, Snook, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, and more—depending on conditions. Whether it's light tackle or fly fishing, Capt. Glenn ensures a tailored experience for all skill levels.

Families are welcome, and children can join in on the adventure! If a child-sized life vest is needed, be sure to check availability in advance. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite snacks to stay energized throughout the trip. The journey takes place aboard a 24' Shallow Master bay boat, designed for up to five anglers. For dolphin-watching tours, SpaceX rocket launches, or fireworks cruises, the vessel accommodates up to seven passengers. Outfitted with top-quality rods, reels, and lures, it has everything needed for a successful day on the water.

Before boarding, all anglers aged 16 and older must purchase a Texas fishing license. Information on licensing can be found through the Texas Parks and Wildlife website, app, or various local service centers. Certain species may have restrictions or require special tags, so guests should review regulations beforehand. To ensure a comfortable experience, it's recommended to bring sunblock and polarized sunglasses. Bottled water and ice will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring additional drinks and snacks—just no glass bottles.
