6 Hour Family Beach Shark Charter
Looking for some serious action from the shore? This 6-hour family beach shark charter puts you right in the thick of some of the Gulf Coast's most exciting fishing. We're talking about targeting whatever sharks are cruising the waters off Panama City, Destin, Navarre, and everywhere in between. Captain Zach and his crew know these waters like the back of their hand, and they'll set up right behind where you're staying to make it convenient for your whole crew. When the water's warm, expect non-stop action that'll have everyone from kids to grandparents hooked on the fight of their lives.
What to Expect on the Water
This isn't your typical wade-out-and-cast situation. We're talking about a serious shark fishing operation that starts before you even show up. The crew arrives early to get everything rigged and ready, so by the time you hit the sand, baits are already heading way out past the second sandbar. We're using fresh chunks of tuna, mackerel, and stingray because sharks can't resist that scent trail. The whole setup is designed around one goal: getting as many bites as possible so everyone gets their shot at a one-on-one battle with a shark. Family-friendly doesn't mean watered down - this is the real deal, just with extra attention to making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident when it's their turn on the rod.
Heavy Tackle & Kayak Deployment
We're running serious gear for this operation - think massive 18/0 Everol reels that can handle whatever decides to pick up your bait. These reels are built to dish out serious drag, sometimes 50 pounds or more, because when a big tiger or bull shark decides to make a run, you need equipment that won't quit. The crew uses kayaks to get baits positioned perfectly in the feeding zones, sometimes paddling way beyond where most people would even think to fish. Fresh bait is key, and we're constantly refreshing chunks and switching up presentations based on what's working. The rods are heavy-action sticks that can handle the pressure, but they're still manageable enough that anyone in the family can get in on the action when a fish is hooked.
What Anglers Are Saying
"What a trip! Zach and Cole were top notch and very good at what they do. We were able to land 2 blacktips, 2 bulls, 1 lemon, and 1 big tiger shark on our 6 hr trip. It was definitely the highlight of our trip and will be for sure booking again in the future." - Blake
"We had a fantastic time! Sole put us on a 10' Tiger it was amazing. My wife and 3 boys got to share the experience, one that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend Captain Zach and his team for a thrill of a lifetime!" - Jared
"Zach and his team are first class fishermen.... We arrived at 7:00 on the beach, and they already had the gear up and the bait was going out. And I mean "out." These guys kayaked the bait WAYYYY out... well past the second sand bar..... all in an effort to get our baits in the perfect position to catch some sharks. I popped a cold beverage and inspected the shark fishing equipment.... Top of the line. Biggest damn reels I've ever seen (18/0 Everols). We didn't have to wait long until we had an incredible bite...... the shark started running away from us, pulling 50 pounds of drag like it was nothing..... We all had a turn on the reel when the unthinkable happened - our shark got crossed up with another shark down the beach, and our line got cut. While we were dejected, Zack and the guys hopped right back into their kayak and got another bait out - this time, with some fresh stingray. It took a while, but we finally got another bite, and this time, there was no one else on the beach to interfere. After an incredible 30 minute fight, we landed an 11 ft. tiger shark. Zach's crew sprang into action, pulling the shark close enough for some pics, while making sure that the shark was getting plenty of water through her gills to sustain her. Once we got the hook out, we released her to fight another day. I can't say enough good things about this trip. These guys LOVE what they do, and it shows in the way they approach their charter. If you want to catch a shark, then call Zach without delay." - Marc
Top Species You'll Target
Blacktip sharks are some of the most consistent biters you'll find along this stretch of coast. These aggressive feeders typically run 3-6 feet and put up a scrappy fight that's perfect for getting the whole family involved. They're most active during warmer months and love to cruise the surf zones where baitfish gather. What makes blacktips special is their willingness to hit baits during daylight hours, and they're known for making those heart-stopping runs right when you think you've got them beat.
Bull sharks are the heavy hitters that everyone hopes to tangle with. These thick-bodied bruisers can push 8+ feet and have the attitude to match their size. Bulls are year-round residents but really turn on during summer months when water temperatures climb. They're ambush predators that hit hard and don't give up easy - expect a grinding fight that tests both angler and equipment. The respect factor with bulls is off the charts, and landing one creates stories that get better every time you tell them.
Tiger sharks represent the pinnacle of shore-based shark fishing along the Gulf Coast. These apex predators can stretch 10+ feet and display a fighting style that combines raw power with surprising endurance. Tigers are most active during warmer months
