Come with Eastern Primal Outfitters for an action packed traditional black bear fair chase hunt with hounds. We are a family based operation located in Beaufort County NC. We host some of the finest hunting grounds up and down the coast line of North Carolina for black bear. We hunt in swamps, poccosons, thickets, briar patches and “SWAMPS”This hunt demands one to have physical strength and be able to move on there feet quickly. When you book with us everything is taken care of except your hunting license. When you arrive at our camp all of your needs are taken care of from there.Your meals will be provided. Transportation during the hunt is provided. Retrieval of your animal, Skinning, gutting and quartering of your animal for process is also included. You will be hunting over some of the finest bear dogs North Carolina has to offer. Our black bears are some of the largest in the world. Because of the abundance of agriculture it allows the bears to grow to where the cold does not bother them and they do not need to hibernate or go into torpor. Meaning they eat year round and simply grow! Our bears put on roughly 100-150 pounds a year. Meaning a 3 year old will weigh around 300-450 pounds. Description: When you hunt with us you will stay in our private house. Trained hound dogs and two guides and multiple dog handlers to assist you! Traverse Beaufort, Tyrell, Washington and Hyde Counties during your week. Price will be adjusted after a successful hunt, $50/lb added at 400 lb bear or larger. Briar-proof clothing recommended, snake boots or knee high rubber boots, A valid NC hunting license with Bear E-Stamp required. Your guides will assist in preparing your harvest and packing in coolers . Your North Carolina Bear Hunting adventure awaits. Arrive the afternoon before trip date!

I recently had the chance to go on a hunting trip with David Collins and it was an amazing experience! He is an incredible guide with a lot of knowledge about the area and all the different game. He provided us with the best gear and took us to some great spots. Not only was it fun, but it was also an extreme adventure. He's absolutely phenomenal at what he does, and I would highly recommend him for any hunting trips!

Got my first NC black Bear with David and team, he weighed in at 242.6 lbs! Had a blast and will be sure to book again neat year! These guys know how to show us a good time!

This was my first bear hunt, and I couldn't be happier! Excellent service and comfortable accommodations! Before I shot my 357lb boar, I saw over 30 bears in two days. I highly recommend it!!
