Book with Matt Chapman
Spend a relaxing day on the water with Erie Boys Outfitters and explore the vibrant fishery of Kingsville, Ontario. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying this for the first time, Captain Matthew is ready to show you a great time on Lake Erie’s productive waters.
Captain Matthew brings years of hands-on experience to the table, with a deep understanding of the seasons, the local fish behavior, and the best ways to target them. Depending on the time of year and conditions, you could be hooking into Walleye, Muskellunge (Musky), Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Catfish, and Smallmouth Bass. This part of Ontario offers a wide variety of opportunities for both casting enthusiasts and those who prefer trolling or bottom fishing. You’ll use light or heavy tackle based on the target species and water conditions.
Erie Boys Outfitters is all about making your trip comfortable, exciting, and family-friendly. Captain Matthew welcomes anglers of all ages and skill levels, including young kids. It’s a perfect setup for a family outing or a peaceful fishing trip with a couple of friends. The captain can provide life vests, but it’s best to confirm if child-sized ones are available—or bring your own just in case. Snacks and drinks are also a good idea for keeping energy up throughout the day.
Your fishing trip takes place on a 21’ Grady-White center console boat. It's designed for both performance and comfort and is ideal for small groups of up to 3 guests. This vessel is equipped with all the gear you’ll need—rods, reels, tackle, and lures are included in the trip. Live bait is also available, though you might have the chance to catch it yourself depending on the day.
On some trips, a First Mate may be available to assist and help you maximize your chances of landing fish. Mates often work for tips, so it’s customary to show appreciation with a 10–20% gratuity.
Before heading out, make sure to grab your Ontario fishing license. Regulations can vary, and some species may require special tags or be restricted during certain months. The captain is happy to guide you through what you’ll need before the trip.
Also, be sure to bring a few essentials—bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses will help keep you comfortable throughout the day.
Erie Boys Outfitters invites you to enjoy the peaceful pace of life on the lake, take in the views, and reel in something to remember.
