The charter is owned and operated by Captain Mark Westra, who’s been fishing the waters of South West Florida for over 30 years. Aside from his vast experience in this sport, it has always been his passion to deliver the best possible fishing experience to all of his guests.
The beautiful waters surrounding Sanibel, Captiva, and the Fort Myers area provide ample opportunity for trophy fish. Depending on the season and weather conditions, Captain Mark will strategize the day to best fit your expectations. He welcomes anglers of all skill levels and even kids. No matter the circumstances, he is always confident that he will be able to provide his guests with a great day on the water as they make some good memories.
Ride in style with the captain’s 22’ American Marine Sports that can accommodate up to 3 guests. This bay boat is powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine and has a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots. The boat is equipped with Simrad navigational electronics and modern safety gear. You’ll also find MinnKota wireless engine, live bait tanks, and a cooler ready for use.
These trips focus on nearshore and flats fishing targeting a wide variety of fish species that are all known to put up an awesome fight! Fish for Snook, Trout, Jack Crevalle, Tarpon, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail, and more! If you go a little further, you’ll also get the chance to chase after Goliath Grouper and Barracuda.
There are different fishing techniques that you can use in catching fish such as using light and heavy tackle, spinning, and fly fishing. Captain Mark will also take care of everything you need — all fishing equipment, live bait, and licenses. There will also be water with ice onboard and catch cleaning is also offered after the trip. Feel free to bring your preferred food and drinks, and don’t forget your sun protection.

Description: Get a chance to hook your next trophy fish with Flat Top Charters. The tackle, bait, lures, line, flies, etc, and water in an iced cooler are provided. Catch and release is highly recommended but you may keep the catch at the end of the trip. Grab your snacks & drinks and sun protection.

Everything went well in our trip, weather was fine and the captain was the best! We saw lots of sights and the fishing was excellent too. Captain Mark was very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this guy!

Capt. Mark is Knowledgeable & kitted out for multiple species. I have caught many goliath grouper and tarpon. I can’t wait to book my next trip with him!

We've been fishing with mark for some mangroves for snook, grouper, redfish, seatrout, etc. for about 10 years now! Have caught a giant grouper with him too. He is a patient and friendly guide who we rely on for our annual spring trip. Highly recommend him!

Mackerel, Trout, and more! We told Mark we wanted to catch a lot of fish and we did! He didn't disappoint us.. we definitely had a blast. and highly recommend booking with him. He had lots of stories and experiences to share which we all enjoyed!
