Book with Austin Fassiotto
Austin Fassiotto, a lifelong Oregon resident, has been passionate about fishing since his grandfather first introduced him at age three. With over 25 years of experience, particularly in Tillamook and Nehalem bays, Austin now combines his love for fishing with guiding others. Although he still works in construction during the week, he dedicates his weekends to guiding fishing trips, sharing his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm with new anglers, especially families and children.
Today, Fassiotto’s Guide Service, based in Corvallis, invites you to experience unforgettable moments on the inland waters of the Oregon Coast. Our services cover prominent fishing spots such as Tillamook Bay and Nehalem Bay, among others.
Captain Austin, the heart of our operation, is dedicated to ensuring that your day on the water is both enjoyable and productive. We offer eight-hour fishing excursions that cater to various fish species, including Rainbow Trout and Salmon, depending on the season and daily conditions. Throughout these trips, you’ll engage in a variety of fishing techniques, including light tackle, trolling, drift fishing, and spinning.
Your adventure begins on a brand-new 23-foot Alumaweld boat, which comfortably accommodates up to four anglers. This vessel is equipped with an ice box to keep your catch fresh. During the fall, Captain Austin specializes in guided Salmon trips, targeting both Chinook and Coho at the coast and around the Columbia River near Portland. These trips run from August through mid-November. As winter approaches, from January onwards, Captain Austin shifts focus to Steelhead fishing on the Wilson River in Tillamook or the Sandy River, covering areas from Oxbow Park to Dabney Park. Come April, he transitions to spring Chinook fishing on the Willamette River, including the Multnomah Channel and the vicinity of the St. John’s Bridge.
All necessary equipment, including rods, reels, and terminal tackle, is provided, allowing you to concentrate solely on fishing. Be sure to purchase a valid fishing license before your trip. At the end of your adventure, our crew will clean and fillet your catch, so you can take home your freshly caught fish.
Book with Fassiotto’s Guide Service today for $225 per person. We welcome children aged six and up, with a minimum of two participants, though private trips can be arranged. Enjoy live bait, keep your catch, and have your fish cleaned and filleted. Reserve your spot now for an unforgettable fishing experience!

What a fantastic day on the water we had with Darren and their crew in Tillamook, Oregon! The weather was perfect—partly cloudy skies with a light breeze that made for a comfortable day out on the river. The water conditions were great, and we were excited to get the lines in and see what we could find. We started the day off trolling, using a mix of heavy and light tackle, and it wasn't long before we had our first Chinook Salmon on the line. Darren fought that fish hard, working the rod and keeping steady pressure until we were able to bring it into the boat. The salmon put up a great fight, jumping and peeling off line, but Darren kept their cool and landed a beautiful specimen. We continued to troll and drift fish, cycling through different techniques, and managed to hook into a few more Chinook over the course of the day. The fishing was consistent, and the company was great. We shared stories, talked tactics, and enjoyed being out on the water together. That's what makes these Tillamook salmon trips so special—the opportunity to not only chase big, hard-fighting fish but to do it alongside people who share the same passion. Whether we were landing a fish or just taking in the scenery, there was a great energy on the boat all day long. If you're looking to experience world-class salmon fishing in Tillamook, Oregon, I highly recommend booking a full-day trip with Fassiottos Guide Service. From the moment you step onboard, you'll be in good hands, chasing Chinook on the best waters around. We'll make sure you have all the gear and know-how to hook into some trophy fish, and you'll get to enjoy it all alongside a great group of fellow anglers. So what are you waiting for?
