As a United States Coast Guard veteran with over 35 years of experience in vessel operation and navigation, Captain Mike ensures safety, comfort, and, of course, successful fishing. Whether you’re targeting Walleye, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, or Muskellunge (Musky), Captain Mike will take you to the best spots, depending on the season. You can expect a mix of trolling and bottom fishing, using a variety of tackle, whether light or heavy, to maximize your chances of a big catch.
Fenntastic Outdoors Adventures welcomes families aboard, and kids are always encouraged to join the fun. If you’re traveling with children and don’t have life jackets in the right size, Captain Mike will make sure there’s one available. Bring along some snacks to keep everyone energized throughout the trip, and Captain Mike will take care of the rest, providing all the necessary fishing gear, including rods, reels, lures, live bait, and other essentials for the day.
The trip is conducted on a 20’ Deck boat that can accommodate up to 6 passengers comfortably, with plenty of space to move around and enjoy the day. The boat is fully equipped with everything you need for a successful outing. Before boarding, be sure to get a local fishing license for everyone in your group who needs one. Captain Mike can provide helpful guidance on where to obtain the licenses, and he’ll also inform you about any specific regulations, including protected species or any fish requiring a tag.
Make sure to bring your sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water to stay hydrated. If you’d like to bring along other drinks, feel free to ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
