Book with Griffin Provost-Wassell
Welcome to Fin’s Guide Company, your gateway to the stunning waters of Charleston. We invite you to embark on a memorable fishing expedition with Captain Griffin, whose extensive experience on these tides ensures an exciting and successful outing for every angler.
Charleston's waters abound with a diverse range of fish species, including Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Black Seabass, Flounder, Sheepshead, Bonnethead Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Lemon Shark, Blacktip Shark, and more, each thriving depending on the season and conditions.
Our fishing trips typically involve bottom fishing, where you can choose between light or heavy tackle setups. It's a great way to target a variety of species that call these waters home.
Families are warmly welcomed aboard our 22’ Bay boat, designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 passengers. We ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for anglers of all ages. If you're bringing young ones along, feel free to inquire about child-sized life vests or bring your own. Don't forget to pack snacks to keep everyone energized and in high spirits throughout the day.
The boat is fully equipped with all the essentials for a productive fishing adventure. You’ll find top-quality rods, reels, tackle, and an assortment of effective lures waiting for you on board. Live bait is included as part of your trip package; however, availability may vary, so it's wise to confirm beforehand.
We take care of your fishing license as part of our charter service, allowing you to focus solely on enjoying your time on the water. Captain Griffin is well-versed in local fishing regulations, including catch limits and seasonal restrictions, and is happy to provide guidance upon request.
To ensure your comfort and safety under the Charleston sun, we recommend bringing along essentials such as sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, non-spray sunblock, and plenty of bottled water. Refreshments will be provided, and moderate alcohol consumption is permitted on board, with the exclusion of hard liquor and glass bottles.
For any further questions or specific inquiries about fishing with Fin’s Guide Company, Captain Griffin is just a message away. I booked a last-minute trip hoping to catch a shark, but initially, the fish weren't biting. Despite the challenge, Griff remained determined. Just minutes before the trip ended, he decided to "throw a Hail Mary," and it paid off—we ended up catching not just one, but two hammerhead sharks. The entire experience was fantastic, and I definitely plan on booking with him again in the future.
