It was August in Texas, so the heat was intense, and there was also a bass tournament on the lake, where the winning bag was 9 lbs. In just the first hour, we had already caught a 7 lb bag and even broke off on a 5.5 lb bass. Captain Matt kept us comfortable with cold Gatorade and water, had plenty of rods and reels ready for my son and me, and was incredibly patient with my son, helping him land fish. His boat was spotless, well-equipped, and even had live scan. Overall, it was a fantastic day with a great atmosphere. If you’re looking for a guide in this area, Captain Matt is your guy.
