Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Dean out for a relaxed half-day fishing trip on Lake Conroe with Fish Head Water Sports this summer. We launched from Willis, TX in the early morning, greeted by partly cloudy skies that promised good fishing conditions. The lake was calling our name as we set out from 13988 Calvary Rd, ready to see what the day would bring. Summer on Lake Conroe can be fantastic for fishing, and I was eager to show Dean some of my favorite spots. As we motored out, I filled him in on our game plan for the day, confident that Fish Head Water Sports would deliver a great experience. Once the stage was set, we got down to business. I started us off trolling, a technique that's often productive on Lake Conroe. We worked some crankbaits, varying our depth and speed to find where the fish were holding. As the morning progressed, we switched it up and tried some Texas rigging, which can be deadly effective for bass in the lake's structure. Our persistence paid off when Dean hooked into a feisty Blue Catfish. It wasn't a monster, measuring in at 11 inches, but it put up a good fight and gave us some excitement. We wrapped up the trip with smiles all around, having enjoyed our time on the water even if the big ones were elusive today. Hybrids and some cats
we set out this morning for some hybrids and we had to work for them they put 5 in the box and lost 2 then we decided to do some catfishing and put 34 in the box by 11am. Thanks Jacob and Amy it's always a pleasure fishing with you guys.

we went out this morning for some perch and they didn't disappoint this family put 43 perch and 8 catfish in the box nice day can't wait to do it again

Fun fun day with excellent people
we went out this morning for some fish and they didn't disappoint they caught lots of fish and they took home 36 catfish, 2 hybrids and 4 yellow bass. can't tell yall how many smaller they put back in the lake for next year

the hybrids have been doing good this past week and will get better as the summer gets here but they will slow down around July the am trips are the best for the hybrids the pm trips not so much and as for the catfish they pretty much feed all the time here on Lake Conroe so don`t wait let`s go catch some fish

I told him I was keen on catching catfish, and he certainly delivered. He knows the best spots and is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft—I learned a lot while on the boat. Had a great time. Captain James is friendly easy going and took care of everything from baiting hooks to cleaning fish. Made sure everyone was accommodated the hole trip. His boat is roomy and comfortable as well. I highly recommend and will be booking another trip on the future.
