Captain Robby will put you on the fish early and often! I’ve had the pleasure of having chartered fishing tours with him twice now and plan to use him for many more years to come. He knows what he’s doing and is all business but you will catch fish! He is wonderful to work with and runs a great business. He is a very hard working. Thanks for all you do!

For a first time going out this was definitely the best we could have picked. We enjoyed ourselves so much and the kids loved their trip. We will definitely be doing this again when we return.

Captain Rob was incredible and made our entire experience one we will remember. With 3 kids (8,7,5) he was patient and took the time to not only teach some basics of fishing, but also taught us all a lesson around patience and perseverance. What started as a somewhat challenging search for fish, ended with a great catch and an experience my kids will continue to talk about non stop. We would highly recommend Captain Rob and Sun n Daze fishing to everyone. You won’t find a better guide or better person to lead this experience for you. We will definitely use him anytime we are back. Thanks again Captain Rob! -Megan and Ryan Sturm

Oh a whale of a tale to tell you lads! A whale of a of a tale or two! I had the pleasure and good fortune to look for an independent charter boat and had an excellent time with Captain Robert. I booked a 6 hour trip(really if you want to catch a big load, that’s what you do!!) and took 3 of my older boys with me, 12, 10 and 8. First off, his boat was immaculate, he takes care of his ship and encouraged us to help! I was concerned with my sons’ lack of experience but Capt Rob took the time to watch and encourage and critique each one. He was firm and direct and also praising them when they got it right. We had a great time! He felt that with the inexperience of the boys we should only fish with two poles, so I helped one boy and he helped the other and we still brought home a ton of fish and caught over 30 between us!!! We started off at a spot near several other vessels and started fishing off the bottom, when out of the deep blue came a school of a dozen Mahi-Mahi or Dolphin(the fishy kind), and he jumped into action, directing us quickly to change tactics. Before they were scared away by something, probably a real dolphin, we caught 9 of them!!! Bringing them in one after another. Then we went to 2 other sites and caught trigger fish(out of season, but fun), some Snappers(out of season—and threw back as well), and Mingo!! He caught us a triple tale that was too small to keep, but showed the boys and let them touch and see it. One of the boys caught a huge Amberjack(out of season) but it put up such a fight he was aching in his arms! Another boy caught an ugly “mother in law fish”, but it was fun to hear about them. At it last site, we had already caught about 30+ fish most of them keepers, and then he saw these huge Cobia, which I had never heard of! He shouted to us to watch out for them, and he jumped into action! Man that man can move over his boat! The cobia were is a small school with a shark nearby, and so he used one of our caught Mingo and was able to tease them, and then we lost them!! Then using his keen fish sense, he found them in 15 mins dragging the Mingo behind us. He located them so quickly and it was the same school! One large, a medium and 2 small ones swimming together! He used the Mingo to hook the medium one, then I took the reel and brought it in, but we left it in the water, keeping the large one nearby and the two small ones. Between he and I we figured out that another Mingo was not what she was after, nor squid, but the small bait fish that we watched him catch that very morning on the way out of the bay with thrown net! After this big fish started gobbling up the little greenies as I was leading the medium sized gobia around, he cast out the line with a special hook and he got her! Then we swapped and I spent the next 40 minutes fighting the largest fish I ever caught. It was all because I had a Captain who was interested in my opportunity that he made happen and we worked as a team. On top of all that, he had set a couple crab traps and offered whatever he found in them. I tell ya, that 50 lb cobia was the catch of a lifetime, Capt Rob spent over an hour cleaning our catch, half of it on just that big girl. You can’t pay for the envy of the other captains and fishermen. It was awesome!! I may have reeled them in, but I couldn’t have caught them without him finding them and helping us get an opportunity. When I come this way again, Captain Robert is who I’m looking up. The night of our intrepid fishing expedition, we ate well! Crab, Cobia, Mingo all cooked fresh the same day, and have enough for months!
