Captain Chris Ricci is a veteran angler who has fished throughout his life in many parts of the world. He is a lifetime B.A.S.S. member with two WON Bass U.S. Opens under his belt. He has also marshalled for the Bassmaster Elite Series at Grand Lake. In 2020, he acquired his MMC from the U.S. Coast Guard, which allows him to provide an even higher level of service to his clients.
Southwest Colorado and Northwest New Mexico are great places to catch trophy-sized Bass. Crappies and Bluegill are abundant at Navajo Lake, and it is also a good place to fish for Pike at any time of year using a variety of baits. If you're looking to spend a day fishing without a boat, Chris can guide you on several local ponds which offer excellent angling opportunities.
Fish & Fungi LLC provides services to all parties and operates under special use permits on the San Juan and Uncompahgre National Forests. The charter offers half-day and full-day trips for both beginners and seasoned anglers. All fishing equipment is supplied. You just need to bring your snacks, license, and protection against the sun and rain.

Chris was amazing!! My family and I had such a great time. Chris has a great knowledge of not only the mushrooms themselves but also the environment they like to grow in. Because of that not only did we learn a ton about mushrooms, but we also found edible mushrooms. He explained everything to my kids which is a huge. They had millions of questions. I highly recommend Fish and Fungi to everyone. So much so that I have already recommended him to my sister and mother.

Chris is an awesome fishing guide! I booked a fishing trip on Navajo Lake for my husband, my dad, and two teenage sons. When we went to visit Pagosa Springs. We are from Texas, and the guys all have experience in fishing bass and trout. They wanted to bass fish and hoped to catch some pike. Talking and working with Chris was easy and I felt confident with planning the trip. He was able to send me directions, instructions, easy payment method, and communication was thorough, prompt, and reassuring. Chris made sure all equipment, life jackets, tackle, and poles fit their needs and skill levels. I dropped them off smiling, and picked them up with them on top of the world! They have had several wonderful fishing trips, but this one definitely was one of the best. My dad caught pike-one of his life’s bucket list items. All of them actually caught several bass and pike to brag about, and haven’t stopped talking about it. They loved the trip and thought “Chris was so awesome” as my teenage boys kept saying. They described how he knows so much, knew what he was doing, and had it all! My husband, dad, and sons had a truly amazing day catching fish with Chris. Their happiness is my happiness. What a blessing! Thank you Chris-we will highly recommend your trips, and will book another every time we are in the area.
