fishing starting to heat up as it cools down!!
Anglers in Rockport are enjoying solid summer action right now! The shallow bays and grassy flats are alive with activity, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. Redfish are cruising the shorelines and feeding aggressively on live shrimp and cut bait. Sight casting along the edges of the marsh is producing some impressive slots, and schools are becoming more visible as water clarity improves. Speckled trout are holding over deeper grass beds and shell reefs, with soft plastics and topwaters delivering steady results. Wade fishing has been particularly productive around Estes Flats and along the edges of Aransas Bay. Early birds are finding better luck before the sun gets too high—especially with a light chop and moving tides. Black drum and flounder are also showing up more frequently. Drum are being caught near deeper channels using dead shrimp, while flounder are staging near sandy drop-offs. If you're planning to fish this week, keep an eye on wind direction and water levels. Light winds and higher tides have created ideal conditions for working the back lakes. Whether you're fishing from a boat or wading the flats, now’s a great time to target a variety of inshore species in Rockport. The fish are active, the bite is strong, and the Texas coast is delivering once again!

Very knowledgeable guide. We left the dock and stopped at one location and hit our limit on trout. We had two younger boys with us(12&9). He was really great with them and took the time to teach them. Will definitely use him again.

Absolutely love going out with Captain Larry. We have been fishing with him for a few years now and will not be looking anywhere else for a guide. He is fantastic with kids, an entertaining host, and will work hard to find the fish. We can't wait to go on our next trip with him.
