Book with Dave Protzmann
Fishin Da Net offers one of the best Port Washington WI fishing charters for anyone eager to enjoy a rewarding experience on Lake Michigan. From Lake Michigan salmon fishing to hooking into Trout, this charter gives you access to some of the best action around. Depending on the season, you could reel in Coho or Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Lake Trout, and Brown Trout.
At the helm is Captain Dave, a seasoned local guide who knows where the fish are biting. His 28’ Sea Ray comfortably fits up to four adults, or six if younger kids are along for the ride. Outfitted with all the gear you’ll need—from rods and reels to electronics and safety equipment—the boat is ready for whatever the lake brings. There's even a bathroom on board, making longer trips more comfortable.
Planning a family outing? Kids are always welcome on board! If you don’t have a child-sized life jacket, just ask ahead of time. You’re encouraged to bring your own drinks and snacks to stay energized throughout the trip. This is a great way to introduce younger anglers to Lake Michigan fishing in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Capt. Dave and his first mate handle all the technical work, from setting lines to scouting productive spots, so you can focus on reeling in your catch. After you’ve landed your fish, they’ll clean it up so it’s ready to take home. Whether you’re after Port Washington salmon fishing or targeting Trout, this charter takes the stress out of the process.
Before boarding, anglers 16 and older will need a valid Wisconsin fishing license and a Great Lakes Trout and Salmon stamp—easy to grab online. Don’t forget to pack sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, and weather-appropriate layers. Moderate alcohol is allowed, but skip the hard liquor and glass containers. Mates work hard to make your trip great, so a 15–20% tip is always appreciated. Ready to fish? Lake Michigan salmon fishing with Fishin Da Net is the experience you’ve been looking for.

Yesterday, Alec booked a charter on Fishin Da Net with crew Gary, Lance, and Wes. We had great weather, good times with good company, and good fishing to boot. Alec and crew sealed the fate of 13 coho salmon and 2 king salmon by bringing them to Da Net. Thank you, Alec, for booking the trip! I have openings in the morning on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. After that, I have openings again beginning June 30. Give me a holler to book your trip. Capt. Dave Protzmann (920) 254-3137 www.fishindanet.com
Michael, while visiting family from Virginia, booked a charter trip yesterday morning on Fishin Da Net to experience fishing on Lake Michigan for the first time. He was the sole customer on board so he battled all the fish himself including a nice king salmon on a line with 300 feet of copper attached. We brought his limit of 3 king salmon and 2 coho salmon to Da Net despite tired hands from all the reeling. Good problem to have! Anyhow, he enjoyed his first trip on Lake Michigan. Thanks for booking the trip, Michael and safe travels back home to Virginia. How about you? Book your charter trip today! Call, text, or book directly on my website anytime. I have openings this week on Monday afternoon, Tuesday AM or PM, Wednesday and Thursday AM only, and then again beginning Monday, June 30. Capt. Dave Protzmann (920) 254-3137 www.fishindanet.com
Fishin Da Net "set sail" yesterday late afternoon for a charter fishing trip with new to Fishin Da Net customer crew Tanya, Connor, and Austin. They had a great time sharing a few stories and bringing fish to Da Net. We landed and kept 12 coho salmon, 1 king salmon, and 1 rainbow trout to take home with them. We released a small coho salmon to grow for hopefully someone to have a crack at it later. Fishing remains very good in Port Washington. Give me a shout if you want to book a trip. Capt. Dave Protzmann (920) 254-3137 www.fishindanet.com
Yesterday morning, Norman and crew (his son, father, and father in-law) hopped aboard Fishin Da Net for a charter fishing experience. They had a great time while landing 11 coho salmon and 6 rainbow trout. Thanks Norman for booking the charter and for lending a hand setting lines and netting a few fish. Something I prefer to do is getting charter customers involved as much as they want especially when running without a first mate like yesterday's trip. The experience is often more rewarding when you are directly involved with the action prior to getting the bite. If you would rather sit back and relax while letting the captain and first mate handle all that stuff, that is perfectly suitable too. Whatever you prefer on your trip! I have plenty of openings this month before June 20th. Give me a holler to book your trip! Capt. Dave Protzmann 920-254-3137 www.fishindanet.cm P.S. The photo with all 4 members of the entire crew was taken after a couple fish were cleaned.
As spring temperatures begin to rise, fishing conditions are starting to shift in a promising direction. Now is a great time to start planning your Lake Michigan charter trip, with the season shaping up to be a productive one. Recent reports from the region indicate excellent activity for Walleye, Northern Pike, and Lake Trout, especially in well-known inland waters connected to the Great Lakes system. These species are responding well to warming waters and longer daylight hours, and anglers targeting them are seeing solid results. Lake Trout, in particular, are expected to stay active in deeper water for the time being but will gradually begin moving toward shallower areas as spring progresses. Northern Pike are known to become more aggressive during this seasonal transition, offering exciting action for those casting with larger lures or live bait. Walleye activity is also picking up, especially during early morning and evening hours. If you're looking to get out on the water soon, now's the time to reserve your spot with a local charter. Conditions are looking ideal for a productive and enjoyable trip targeting some of the best species Lake Michigan fishing has to offer. Stay tuned for more updates as the season unfolds!
