Coming from an outdoors family, Captain Rick Wacasey has been fishing ever since he could walk. In his early years, he begins to fish for Panfish, Bass, and Walleye in an effort to catch the Muskellunge, the top freshwater predator!
Captain Rick will do whatever it takes to accomplish your goals on the water. Whether you’re after limits of walleye, trophy walleye, or a catch of a lifetime monster Muskie, He takes pride in offering a personable experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Rick welcomes beginners and experienced anglers on his guided river and lake fishing trips.
The fishing spot you can visit include Lake St. Clair, Lake Erie, the Detroit River, and St. Clair rivers. These fishing grounds are abundant with other fish species throughout the year. Fishing is done aboard his Ranger boat powered by a 300 HP Mercury engine; this vessel is excellent for the riverways of Michigan. Kids are very much welcome to join the trip.
Fishing In The D Guide Service provides quality fishing gear you’ll use for your trip. You are advised to wear Weather-appropriate clothing, have some food and beverage for your day, and bring some sunscreen, sunglasses, and rain gear. Walleye cleaning is provided on the Detroit river fishing trip only.

• 20' Ranger Boat • Max 6 guests (base trip price includes 6 guests)Description: Spend 8 hours on the water trying to catch your daily limit of exciting Walleye. From December to March, Walleye will be biting in Lake Erie. The charter will provide all the fishing gear needed. Don't forget to bring some food and beverages, and you're all set!

My son and I fished with Rick on Wednesday. He actually covered for another guide who had to cancel last minute. Neither of us had ever used musky rods or thrown giant musky lures. He had us casting within minutes. Very helpful and patient with my son. By far the biggest thrill I have had in over forty years of fishing!! Not a long fight, but the fish was like an angry dog on a short leash. If you want to learn about musky and how to catch them,Rick is the man. Highly recommended!!!
