As fall arrives, the focus shifts to elk hunting, with backcountry camps providing access to some of Idaho’s most remote areas, offering hunters the chance for a trophy bull elk.

The summer trips are flexible, with custom itineraries designed to suit the needs of each party. Guests are picked up in Missoula, Montana, and transported to the trailhead where they meet their horses or mules, pack up, and head to base camp. Along the way, they enjoy a lunch by a mountain lake, with the opportunity to swim or fish. Upon arriving at base camp, guests unwind in personal wall tents before savoring a home-cooked meal. Various adventure options are available, including hiking to high alpine lakes or mountain summits, and guided horseback rides to spot elk, moose, bears, and mountain goats. The elk hunts last for seven days and take place in a pristine, roadless area of Idaho's high country, ensuring a rare, solitary experience. Guides accompany hunters throughout the hunt to help locate and stalk the perfect bull.

The backcountry fishing trips offer a unique fly fishing experience in a secluded, exclusive area along the headwaters of a renowned Blue Ribbon trout river. Guests fish the upper forks for Westslope Cutthroat Trout, with exclusive access to the upper 15 miles of the river. Three high mountain lakes provide additional fishing opportunities, including the chance to catch Bull Trout. The camp, accessible by a 15-mile horseback ride, features private canvas tents, a cook tent, hot showers, and a latrine. Guests enjoy fishing, riding, and guided support, with delicious meals and relaxing campfires at the end of each day.
