Whether working nearshore waters or heading farther out, this boat is fast, efficient, and perfectly set up for light tackle and fly fishing. A cooler and professional accessories are on board to make your trip seamless.
The season runs from May through late October, giving anglers plenty of opportunities to fish prime conditions. Conveniently docked near the mouth of the Thames River, FlyLight Charters is only minutes from some of the area’s most productive spots.
To ensure success, Captain Peter provides top-tier gear. Fly anglers will cast G Loomis rods (weights 9–13), matched with Abel reels and Orvis lines. Light tackle setups include G Loomis or No. 8 Tackle Company rods paired with Shimano reels. This professional equipment gives you the best chance to hook and land your target species.
Species commonly targeted include Striped Bass, Bluefish, Blackfish, Black Seabass, False Albacore, Bonito, Fluke, and Scup. Every trip is customizable, so if there’s a species you’d like to focus on, Captain Peter will build a plan around your goals. While catch and release is encouraged, you’re welcome to keep fish and enjoy fresh seafood at home.
