Flying Fish Charters OBX

Captain Hank Heermann is a native of Richmond, Virginia, but moved full time to the Outer Banks in 2020. He has a USCG OUPV Captain's License with a Towing endorsement. A boat owner since 1986, Capt. Hank spent many years fishing the Chesapeake Bay and the ocean waters off North Carolina's Outer Banks.

The Flying Fish is a 23' center console powered by an efficient Yamaha 225 hp four-stroke motor. The boat was outfitted with a cobia tower in 2021. It greatly improves the captains view when site fishing for cobia, red drum and other large fish. The boat is equipped with state of the art Simrad electronics including redundant multifuction displays for GPS, fishfinding and side-scan imaging capabilities. Recent upgrades include a Sirius weather receiver and an Icom VHF marine radio. A private Porta-Potti is located inside the console cabin. Flying Fish has all required USCG safety equipment including an EPIRB and USCG type I life vests. Your comfort and safety is Capt. Hank's top priority.

The Flying Fish is equipped with quality tackle. Shimano and Diawa reels and rods by Star and Fenwick.
