He obtained his U.S. Coast Guard six-pack captain license, which allowed him to turn his passion into a career.
Full Throttle Fishing Charters specializes in inshore fishing, nearshore fishing, flats fishing, and backcountry fishing, offering their services to anyone looking to catch some of the best fish that the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. Captain Garrett's boat, a Pathfinder Center console, was originally built in 2016. The boat is powered by a 200HP Yamaha engine and has a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots. The boat is 22 feet long and can accommodate up to four persons. It is equipped with top-of-the-line fishing gear and technology to ensure the best possible fishing experience for clients. The boat also has a T-top to provide shade for clients during the hot Florida sun. This was our 3rd charter out with Garrett and he is amazing. He is so patient and encouraging with kids. The boys and dads had an incredible time. They lost count of the amount of fish they caught but we ended up with enough Mangrove Snapper to feed 8 adults and 5 kids!! We HIGHLY recommend Garrett for your fishing adventures. When Captain Garrett asked me what our goals were for going out on his charter, I told him we were there for the photos and not for dinner so let’s find the biggest fish we can; he responded with “I got you”. We took the 4hr trip at 8am and in the first two hours we checked all the boxes with a 27” redfish, 24” spotted seatrout, and 36” tank of a snook that gave us an exciting 15min fight. Every spot we pulled up on held quality fish for us to pull in! Booking the trip was super easy and the communication was top notch! Captain Garrett was knowledgeable, prepared, fun, safe, humble and somehow even had control of the weather by holding off the wind/rain and getting the sun to come out most of the morning. I highly recommend you seek out Captain Garrett and add some fishing to your vacation plans; we would’ve stayed out all day if we didn’t think we should save some big fish for everyone else to catch.
