We went out with RJ last week and had a great time! You won't find a harder working couple of guys that try their best to put you on big fish! This is not your typical Charter pulling up snapper all day, these guys are the real deal. Kid friendly and very comfortable boat. All you have to do with these guys is reel in the big ones!

Super experience with RJ, Nick and Gin Clear for the first off shore fishing for my son and me. We had a great time, caught some awesome fish, and hope to be back again soon.

Went fishing for a day trip beginning of September 2025. The crew was awesome hats off to R.J. and Nick. They put us on fish and we caught a huge Mahi and a Huge Kingfish as well as numerous large Cudas and others. The boat is roomy and rides great out there. I liked that there was plenty of shade on the boat when you need some time out of the sun. Really fun day recommend Gin!

The captain and first mate clearly are experienced fishermen. However, we did not have a great customer service experience. We have been on numerous charters in the Riviera Beach area over the last 12 years, but this one was unique for the wrong reasons. First, I want to discuss Nick, the first mate. Before we even boarded, he was playing his music over the boat speakers, loudly. At first we thought this would end once we started fishing since we had never experienced loud music (reggae almost exclusively) being played for the duration of a charter. However, after 2 hours, I asked him to turn it down. It had gotten old and my family was over listening to it. Nick complied for 10 minutes, then he turned the music right back up. I will add that he never asked us, the customers, what we would like (Do you like this music? Is it too loud? Do you even want to listen to music?). Additionally, Nick rudely asked for a beverage from us within the first 90 minutes. We gave him one, but also had never experienced a mate asking for handouts. Tips, sure, but that is an expected part of a charter. More concerning was that Nick was also on his phone a majority of the charter. At some times, he said he was communicating with other boats to see what was biting, but otherwise he was picking songs or doing whatever else while the captain was on the bridge above us. On MULTIPLE occasions we had to let Nick know there was a bite on the trolling lines because he was distracted by his phone. Even if the rest of the behaviors don't bother you, that alone is a big red flag for me as a fisherman. When the action is slow, you can't be on your phone waiting on the customers (who you've directed to stay away from the rods so you can set them) be the ones to identify fish hitting the lines. Lastly, the captain, RJ, had sold us on getting live bait in case the bite was slow. He suggested that we could always try deep dropping some live bait if the trolling bite was slow. Great idea, since I have been on other charters that didn't have a backup plan. However, after 3 hours of limited action, I suggested we use the live bait and was told no and given a reason by Nick that "nothing is biting live bait this morning". That response came as a shock since we were sold this was the backup plan and we were barely catching fish anyway. In my mind, at least we were going to be able to try something different after only 2-3 bites all morning and just sitting in our seats listening to loud reggae music for 3 hours. But that was not the case. Well, at least we probably won't get charged for the love bait, we thought, since RJ sold us on it and then we were told we weren't even going to try it. Wrong again, RJ charged us the full $120 for the live bait that never once left the live well. Like I said at the start, both the captain and mate seemed like experienced fishermen, but I would not take a charter with them again. The experience they provided for my family was rude and lacked attentiveness to both the fishing (the whole point of the charter) and common courtesy.
